My Whirlpool is a white, side by side refrigerator. We have owned this particular refrigerator for about 9 years. It runs pretty quietly, the only noise I hear is the ice machine when it makes ice and the water that drains into the pan. I will say that the freezer is entirely too small for our family. The shelves also keep coming off but they are easy to put back on. The refrigerator part works just like it is supposed to. We have a meat and vegetable drawer where the temperature can be adjusted to suit your needs. Sometimes that drawer can get very cold and freeze. The overall refrigerator temp can also be adjusted. If our freezer gets to full and blocks the blower, the refrigerator will not get cool enough. Also if you place any kind of drinks next to the bower in the refrigerator they will sometimes freeze over. So there is a delicate balance there. This particular model does not have a water filter so we purchased an outside filter and wired it through to the water. The only time our refrigerator every quit was when it was struck by lightning. We replaced the part that was struck and the refrigerator still works just fine. It has lasted a good while and is a very good refrigerator but it is just too small for us right now. Noise Level Very quiet other than the ice maker. Interior Organization You can adjust the shelves on the door. Temperature Control You can adjust the temperatures to fit your needs. Ease of Cleaning It is easy to clean inside and out but when you try to empty the water drain tray below the refrigerator it is very messy. We have to pull the refrigerator out and very carefully balance it but always spill water everywhere. Durability Still going strong after being struck by lightning. Design It is good but small.

Very nice refridgerators. The freezer could be a bit bigger in some styles. It could aslo use more drawers. The stlye I have has only two drawers and since I buy a lot of fruits and vegatables I would like more storage room to put them in by themselves. Other than that, awesome product!! Noise Level You cannot hear it running except for at night I can hear it kick on and off. However, this may because my bedroom isright across from the fridge. Not noisy at all though. Interior Organization I would like more drawer space and maybe more shelves. Ecspecially in the freezer. Temperature Control Good temperature control altgough I had to to get someone to work on my freezer because it stopped getting cold. It was only minor issues though. Ease of Cleaning Pretty ease to cleane except gunk gets stuck on the shelves in between the glass and plastic and that can get hard to clean. Durability I had to get someone to fix my freezer because it went out. Other than that, very durable. Design More shelves and drawers would make this fridge perfect.

Overall it works but do not like the ice dispenser or the fact that a lot of times things in the bottom drawer freeze. The Whirlpool side by side refrigerator is unreliable because the coils are very difficult to clean because they are fit tightly together under the unit. Each spring, the temperature rises inside the unit and the bar between the refrigerator and the freezer becomes very hot. (Forcing us to pull the unit out, unplug, vacuum underneath wiggle a small copper pipe near the fan.) Also, both the vegetable and fruit drawers and their brackets have broken under normal use, the ice maker had to be replaced, the water pump had to be replaced and the dispenser for the water/ice became detached.) Noise Level When the unit gets overheated, it makes a lot of noise. Interior Organization The interior organization would be OK, if the drawers and their brackets had not broken. (Now they are very difficult to pull out, making it impossible for a child to get his own healthy snack.) Temperature Control Temperature is unreliable, unless the exterior temperature is low. Ease of Cleaning It is easy to wipe down the shelves and clean. Cleaning under the unit is difficult and replacing the grill (near the floor) is impossible, unless you remember to do so only with both doors open. The tray for the water & is is impossible to clean. Durability The following have broken: ice machine, water pump, fruit drawer, fruit drawer bracket, vegetable drawer, vegetable drawer bracket & water/ice dispenser. Design Poor design has created all issues listed above.

I like the refrigerator overall, but I hate the icemaker. We thought it would be great because the icemaker didn't take up so much space in the freezer, but it constantly freezes over and the motor burned out because of the freeze-ups. Interior Organization Icemaker, while it seems to be a good idea, does not function properly. Bad idea. Design Ice maker again.

The in-the-door ice maker grinds so fine (finer than a snow cone) that the particles stay in the shute and freeze solid. The ice maker bucket becomes frozen to the door, and the grinder area is frozen as well. I have to keep a glass under the ice shute to catch the thawing particles that would otherwise drip until it overflows and runs down the front of the stainless panel and makes stains on the stainless. I have 5 refrigerators with ice makers, and this is the WORST design and it is the NEWEST refrigerator of the 5. The fact that the ice maker freezes to an almost solid block of ice makes this model very undesirable. Is there any sort of "fix" for this? It appears to be a design problem to me. Durability Crisper drawers are made of a quite flimsy plastic that makes the drawers wobble when you attempt to close them. My older refrigerators were much better quality, and the drawers moved easily. I am guessing these are cheaply made plastic parts from China. This is a review of a gd5rhaxnq00. This is a pretty good refrigerator overall. It does a sufficient job of freezing and cooling foods and staying at a set temperature. I do have a couple of overall issues with this refrigerator. First, the door water and ice controls do not have an automatic light. I know this seems like a silly complaint, but for my younger kids, it would be nice to have this feature. Second, the ice maker filler tube constantly freezes leaving no ice in the door. I'll have to get our the hair dryer (in the freezer!) and thaw that little black tube. Not a huge issue, but a pain regardless. Third, it frequently drains water into the pan underneath the unit. I cannot figure out how to stop this from happen or even what is causing it to happen. The pan never overflows, but it is disconcerting to hear water just start running from underneath the refrigerator. Finally, the cooling tubes are turned the wrong way. They run left to right on this model. This may seem silly to mention, but the reason I had to buy this refrigerator was because the tubes became coated in dust on my old model causing it to eventually burn up. If these tubes ran front to back, I would be able to do a much better job of cleaning them and keeping it running efficiently. As it is, I have to cram the brush in a many random spaces as I can and hope the vacuum is strong enough to pull out some of the dust underneath. I have some concerns over how long this model will last since I cannot clean these tubes very well. Interior Organization Sliding shelves are nice, but cause some issues when the refrigerator is full. Ice maker in the freezer door is very nice. Temperature Control Easy to change and stays at set temperature. Durability See my review about the dust tubes. So far so good, and I hope this concern is unwarranted. Design Nothing spectacular, just a standard white side by side refrigerator.
