We purchased the entire Whirlpool GOLD package of stainless steel kitchen appliances. Our previous GE cooktop had NO scratches after 9 years of use.  After 1 month with the same pots and pans as used on the GE, there are several scratches on my new Whirlpool cooktop range.   After contacting the warranty customer service department, it was determined to be a "cosmetic" problem and not covered under the warranty!   DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, Mod number GFE461LVS0.   We are home flippers and will not purchase any future whirlpool products.   I paid more for this range than ever before!

I love it, love it, love it!  The Wihirlpool GFE461LVS is the best range I've ever owned!  The controls are very easy to use, they even prompt you what to push next.  The rapid preheat is great, I hate to think how much time I wasted with my old range waiting for the thing to preheat!  So far I've baked bread, pizza, chicken, cookies, pita, and brownies, everything has turned out perfectly.  With the convection setting we had a roast chicken in 30 minutes! The three oven racks give me plenty of space and the steam clean feature makes cleaning up little spills in the oven a snap.  My kids love the big window, they can watch the pita puff up, great fun!  We've have a few boil overs on the top but it cleans right up with a little baking soda and water. Water does seem to take a while to boil if you're using any burner other than the "rapid boil" one.  The keep warm burner does a fantastic job of holding food at temperature.  I do regret buying the stainless steel finish, it looks great but it shows fingerprints really badly, not the best choice with three kids.  Ah well, live and learn.
