After our refrigerator stopped working, we were in the market for a new one. We chose the Whirlpool 25 cu ft Side-by-Side Refrigerator. We had owned a side-by-side before. With this new design, the ice maker and water dispenser seem to take up a lot of freezer space. My wife and I like to freeze meals that we make. If you are looking at this product, look closely at this before you pick this model. The Whirlpool 25 cu ft Side-by-Side Refrigerator is suppose to be frost free. Within the first week we had frost building up in the freezer. A service tech came out to the house and took the outer compartment where the ice and water comes out, off. He told us he knew right away what it was and he would fix it. Within a few minutes, he installed what we thought was a new part. One week later, we had to call as frost was building up inside the freezer once again. On the second service call, another tech informed us there was a known issue with the ice door not closing all the way, letting air from the outside into the freezer. He ordered the part as the manufacture was making changes to the ice door. The new part took about two weeks to arrive and the same tech came back to install it. At the time of this review, it is now working properly. I would say if you want to buy this model, make sure to ask if the Whirlpool 25 cu ft Side-by-Side Refrigerator you want has had the ice delivery door replaced with the new part. Noise Level It runs quietly. Interior Organization We would like more space. The freezer compartment especially could use another shelf. Temperature Control Keeps everything at the correct temp. Ease of Cleaning Easy to clean. Durability We have not had this long enough to know long-term durability. Design I think there is a better way the designers could have provided the ice maker without taking up so much of the freezer space.
