If you like LLBean clothing this card has great perks attached to it. It is a regular Visa credit card as opposed to it just being a store card so it can be used anywhere Visa is accepted. When you use this card you get free shipping, free return shipping, free monograming, and you earn gift certificates redeemable for more merchandise at LLBean. You will also continue to earn more gift cards as you use the card at other locations. The customer service I've received when I've called them has been great and any issues have been promptly solved. LLBean is located in Maine and so unless you live in Maine your purchase is tax free and is delivered quickly through UPS. Available Rates The credit card rates are a bit high however because I don't carry a balance on this card I don't have to worry about paying any interest. This is a no fee credit card so if you pay your balance in full each month you can enjoy the extra gift cards without paying high interest fees.

I decided to open an L.L.Bean Visa because of the perks that this credit card offered. Both of my children recently started school and I wanted to purchase them backpacks that would last them for a number of years. L.L.Bean has a great reputation when it comes to the quality of their merchandise and their credit card offers two significant perks that I could not pass up. First, cardholders receive free shipping on any order. There is not a minimum purchase. Second, cardholders also receive free monogramming. I was very pleased that these two features were offered as part of the L.L.Bean credit card. I also like that you can earn L.L.Bean rewards by using their credit card. I have been able to purchase some very nice things from L.L.Bean and the L.L.Bean outlet using the rewards that I earned by using my credit card. Overall, I am very pleased with this credit card. I use it often and the rewards add up quickly.

Could not care less about the customer

I have held a **LLBean credit card** for a few years now.  The reason:  when you use the card you get free shipping, free return shipping and free monogramming on your online purchases.  This has been a great partnership with LLBean until this past July when LLBean severed ties with the issuing bank and went with another. I didn't need to place an order until the fall and so applied for the new card issued by **Barclay's Bank of Delaware** at that time.  The card arrived and I placed an order for the wanted item.  I kept waiting for a statement that did not arrive.  In November I received a phone call from Barclay's customer service asking how I was enjoying the new account and if I had any questions.  I explained that I had none except I was concerned that I had not received a statement yet and I felt I should have.  I was told that it was most likely because it was a new account and that it could take a month or two to get the first one depending on the billing cycle.In December I still had not received a statement.  I called Barclay's customer service.  I was told that I had signed up for paperless statements and that I needed to log into my account.  I said that I did not remember that and that I had not received an email informing me that a statement was ready. They said to check my junk mail.  Nothing was there. I called customer service once again and explained the situation.  I told her I had been told that I was signed up as a paperless account. I said that was fine but that I had never received an email statement like I do with other paperless accounts. She said in order for that to have happened I would have had to have signed up for it at LLBean. She told me my account was due on December 11 and that I was late. I told her I couldn't be late if I didn't know I had a due date. Without a statement it is difficult to pay a bill!  She was kind enough to walk me through the steps of setting up an online account and I promptly paid the bill. I stated that I did not want to be penalized for this as the payment was 2 days late. She said that I had been issued a late fee but didn't say how much it was. I asked her if she would rescind it but she said she couldn't.  I hung up and contacted customer service through an online chat.  No help there either.  I contacted LLBean and even though they were sympathetic they said they had no control over the bank's policies.  They would relay the information and see if the bank would credit the card for the late fee.  No results have been seen.It has been nearly a month since my experience with Barclay's.  I am still very angry over this. This is NOT the way you treat new customers; especially ones who have tried to get a first statement!  It has also left a bad taste in my mouth for LLBean.  I am NOT a Happy Camper!!!
