I've been a big fan of the dental chews made by C.E.T. They get my dogs' teeth extremely clean and my dogs really enjoy them. When I was still in a search to look for the best dental chew on the market, I picked these up after seeing excellent views on Amazon. When I recieved them, I read the ingredients and saw beef hide listed as the first ingredient. I was pretty confused because I knew that raw hides are not digestible and that these treats are meant to be ingested. I did a bit of research and found that these treats are indeed digestible due to a special enzyme that is on the treat. Part of the reason why the treat cleans teeth so well is because they contain a special enzyme that does a great job fighting tar tar and plaque. My dog's teeth had some buildup on them, but after a week of having one treat a day I saw that there was great improvement. I've been switching back and forth between the different types of C.E.T. treats and so far I haven't found any that didn't work well. This treat is also highly recommended by my vet!

We have a varacious little puppy who chews through treats, toys and shoes in a matter of seconds. Virbac C.E.T. Hextra Chews and Virbac C.E.T. Enzymatic Chews are the only things that can entertain the puppy for more than a few minutes. The Large size chew can normally keep our 40lb pup satiated for a good twenty minutes. We usually give one Chew every other day. We still brush puppy's teeth once a week which is the maximum frequency both he and we could tolerate. This has definitely helped us mantain good oral health with shiny, white teeth and pretty, clean gums. We have been using both Chews for about three years now without any issues. No upset stomach, indigestion or movement problems to report. Please be sure monitor your dog during the first few uses to check for any issues during chewing, digesting and evacuating. My dogs LOVE these!!! They are great because they are a wonderful treat, but also sooo good for them. They are easy to digest, unlike the regular rawhides you get at the pet store. The best thing is they have a special enzyme that helps cut down on tartar!! Basically, while they are having a treat, thier teeth are being brushed! A must try product!!

I can't say enough about this amazing product! Really, I'm a skeptic about almost all products but I swear by this one! Hands down I attribute the oral health of my two Boston Terriers to this product because it contains the active enzyme ingredient that helps with bacteria and plaque. My vet is always amazed at how clean and healthy my dogs teeth are particularly given they are 9 and 8 years old. I give them this at night just before bedtime every evening which allows the chlorhexidine to sit on the teeth overnight and work its magic. My vet has never recommended teeth cleaning for my dogs b/c they are in terrific health.

Our little Yorkie rescue is the best thing that has happened to us in years. [Our house was just too quiet since all of the kids have moved out.] We absolutely adore her and she loves us, however, we don't love her occasional bad breath! Within a week her teeth were pretty and white and her breath was sweet. Now, I tell everybody about them. In fact, the Chlorhexidine works for up to 24 hours once it is introduced into the dog' mouth. My dog, Tessi loves them and thinks they are a treat so it is easy to get her to chew on them. We had heard rumors about Virbac C.E.T. Hextra chews, but never even thought they would be true. They are amazing dog chews that clean their teeth and improve their breathe all at the same time. We had read about them in dog magazines and even had a few people we know ask us if we knew anything about them. We didn't, but we would soon get to see their amazing ways on our dogs. My brother-in-laws dog had gone into the vet to get his teeth cleaned. A simple visit and usually no problems. Well the dog got his teeth cleaned, but also got his gums infected. He soon caught a cough and it developed into a major illness and the dog died. We wouldn't be sending our dogs to the vet for dental cleaning anytime soon for sure. They would have to rely on us to clean them. A task we both really didn't look forward to. My brother-in-law got another dog to replace the one that he lost to illness. He was told about Virback chews and soon tried them on his dog. He loved them and his teeth were bright and clean. He gave the name of the chews to us and we bought some to try. Yorkies are really strange animals...sometimes they won't eat something for spite. They also loved the chews and their teeth improved. We are sold on these chews and recommend them to everyone we know. Try them and you also will see a big difference in their breathe and in their teeth. We give them 4 out of 5 stars. We only wish we had found them a long time ago.

I love these dental chews, my only concern is that my pup doesn't always chew them into small enough bits and does that gagging and regurgitating routine.  I wish they made them in compressed rawhide which seems safer to me.
