I bought this humidifier to help raise the humidity in our bedroom and it does the job. We live in a dry area and so the humidity levels in our house are low. I have been looking for both a one room humidifier and a whole house humidifier for a few months before I bought this one for our bedroom. I researched quite a bit on the Internet to see what was recommended for humidifiers. I choose this one because the reviews I found were good, people found it easy to use and keep it clean. We started to use this humidifier in February this year and it has kept the humidity in our bedroom between 40% and 50%. This has helped both of us feel better in the morning because the air is a more moist and we don't have the dry mouth or dry nasal passages as we had in the past. I feel that it has helped with allergy problems for both of us. I am so glad that we bought this product. Output Volume This humidifier has helped to increase our humidity levels in our bedroom up to 40% to 50%. The run time for this humidifier is a little over 12 hours. The humidifier box stated 18 to 24 hours but our water has a lot of minerals in it and so this humidifier produces a lot of steam. So, it runs out of water sooner than what is stated on the box. I am sure that if we used bottled water that it would run a lot longer. Ease of Cleaning Very easy to clean. I rinse the humidifier out everyday and then every week or two I soak the heater element part in vinegar to remove any mineral deposits. This is what was recommended by other people that have this product and the humidifier instructions recommend this too. Design This humidifier has a cup in the front of it near the steam output and I like that we can put a liquid inhalant in there to help during cold season. This produces a menthol smell and it makes it easier to breathe when we are congested.

I love the Vick's Humidifier! I love it because my child gets head colds, sinus pressure, and a runny nose in this season of spring and summer. When I put this on in the night time it emits warm vapor that warms up the room that allows him to breathe much better. I hear less complaining from him, that's how good it works. Not only is it good for children but also for adults, I suffer from the same sort of allergies as him and I know if I steal it for a night the warm vapor real opens up your pores and helps you just breathe better. You can even add some sort of Vick's liquid in the top so it can emit a scent of whatever you choose. I know they have lavender, regular Vick's scent, and mint. The overall design is nice, I like how the cylinder is see through so you can see if your running out of water or when you are getting low so you can refill it! Ease of Cleaning It's sort of hard to get all of the water out because my sink isn't big so it's hard to fill as well but I manage by pre-filling something else out and dumping it in there.

We use the Vicks V150SG One Gallon Humidifier in our oldest daughter's room. We purchased this humidifier on a whim while my daughter was home sick with a bad cold. She had a hard time sleeping through the night with her cough, so we were hoping this humidifier would work. We decided on this specific unit because of the Vicks name brand and its affordable price. The humidifier itself works great. It holds one gallon of water, which will last two nights for us. It blows steam within minutes of being plugged in, runs quietly and features a small light on top of the unit. In addition, there are no replaceable filters and it has two spots to hold the Vicks vapor cartridges for the eucalyptus steam. The only downside to this Vicks humidifier, is that minerals build up in the unit's top and you have to clean it out for maximum performance. Also, dumping unused water and refilling is a bit of a pain due to the reservoir shape. Otherwise, it is a great, affordable humidifier and it keeps my daughter from coughing all night. Definitely, a great product that I would recommend!

My mom bought this humidifier for my grandmother's nursing home room, and it seemed to work just fine there. She would check it daily and change the water as recommended. After my grandmother passed away, my mom gave us the humidifier to bring home. Since we were about to have a baby, we figured a humidifier would be a good thing to have on hand. We could never get it to work again. It didn't seem to have malfunctioned or stopped working at the nursing home, and it wasn't tossed around in the move from there to our home. So I'm not quite sure what happened. We never got to test it for ourselves so I'm giving it just "satisfactory."

We have found this basic type of humidifier to be quite helpful when deal with a stubborn cough and deep seated chest congestion. The extra moisture in the air helps to loosen up the stubborn congestion so it can be eliminated from the body. Also if your house is very dry in the winter running the humidifier can help add more moisture to the air and relive symptoms like cracked lips and dry skin. This basic model might not have all of the features of other more expensive models, but it gets the job done. You do have to remember to clean out the water reservoir though, or it will start to grow mold if used continuously for a long time without cleaning.
