truly terrible paint - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! - and it is costly - the product states a 15 year guarantee, it started peeling away like plastic the day after painting - thin, insubstantial and poor quality, dispite the high cost - avoid, it will cost you dear in time and money - i primed everything perfectly and sanded etc, but it also didnt bond to the window's sealant, so you will end up with a peeling rim of paint all around your window! (sealant is a paintable version , i checked) PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, DO NOT BUY THIS - bnandq have brought this paint in, but god knows why, it is truly awful, *and i am a professional painter*

I've been a house painter for 30 years. I have been slow to accept the idea of one-step primer/topcoat paints. And after trying several different brands, most recently the Valspar line, I am still against it. While the need to prime before painting might be eliminated, nevertheless, 2 coats are usually required to obtain a deep, rich look; or when making a major change in color. Secondly, the paints tend to dry quicker; which isn't necessarily good. When working in warm temperatures or for prolonged periods of time, the paint drys much faster in the brush, and can easily ruin a quality brush

We used this paint on our new house, surface was prepped correctly, etc etc and after the first year the paint had started to darken in color (originally a barn red). Now after approx 3 1/2 years the color is nearly a dark burgandy. I recently had to touch up a small area and now have a bright red spot on my dark burgandy house. Looks terrible. Of course I will give appropriate credit to Valspar around our neighborhood. VERY poor quality product, but at least it was expensive.

My husband and I are at the age in life where we have to be choosey about the projects we choose to get ivolved with when it comes to Home Improvements.  We love our little cottage and want to keep it as nice as possible as it will be our home for the rest of our life.  We have tried to paint it before and have found having aluminum siding can be difficult to cover properly with many of the paints available at the major retail stores.  We were getting rather close to the point of having to hire a professional when a gentleman at our local home improvemnt store suggested Valspar.   What a great product we have found.  The consistency of the paint is perfect.  Not too thick and not too thin.  Perfect coverage!  The color selection is wonderful as well and we have found it stays vibrant and true.  We never expected one coat coverage on aluminum but we were wrong with Valspar, one coat was all we needed.  And as far as clean up, it was a snap.  A little soap and water and we were done.  It is always a pleasure to have a positive experience with a product.  We won't use anything else now interior or exterior!
