The USAA Cash Rewards Platinum Visa is an excellent way to earn a little cash back on your purchases each month. Many credit card companies offer rewards programs but the USAA cash rewards program is my absolute favorite because it provides a statement credit and reduces the overall balance on my credit card account. I have been a USAA member for a number of years and am always impressed by their customer service. I have contacted their customer service department on a couple of occasions, and my inquiry is always addressed in a timely fashion. I find the USAA website very easy to navigate and the promotional offers from the USAA credit card enticing and well worth the investment. Overall, I am very impressed with the USAA Cash Rewards Platinum Visa and highly recommend opening this credit card if you want to enroll in a rewards program that provides excellent perks.

I have been using USAA Platinum Visa for a number of years now and in that time, they have been spot on! If you want a visa card with a company who follows the rules and looks after the customer, this is for you! I have two cards, both with very reasonable rates and I opened them both with 0% on the balance transfers for a period of 12 and 18 months. The rate then increased but was still way below my visa card at Wells Fargo. I get cash rewards so for every expense, I get a little money which accumulates and is routinely credited to my account at the end of the year. Setting up my payments on-line is a total breeze. If I'm on vacation I will post date the transaction and in the years I have been a customer, my transactions have occurred like clockwork. The website is easy to use and I can access my account information, auto insurance, life insurance and everything else all from the same location. When I have spoken to their account representatives over the phone, their call handlers have been nothing but courteous, helpful and professional at all times. I will not hear anything detrimental about them.

I have been a member of USAA for the past 9 years (I am now 25). I have used USAA for renters insurance, car insurance, and a credit card. I can't begin to say enough good things about USAA. USAA has amazing customer service- I never have a long wait when trying to reach the right department. When paying my credit card bill, my checks are always cashed immediately (something I've come to find a lot of companies aren't as good at- I like to have a balanced checkbook!). USAA also has a user-friendly website, with easy to navigate tabs. With my credit card, USAA offers a free service on their website involving a breakdown of how I spent my money (i.e. 30% of that months charges were for dining out). This service saves me time from having to break down those charges myself, and from tracking of my spending through the program, I was easily able to make a budget. A nice little bonus- I get reward points for each dollar I spend, and when I reach a certain number of points, I can redeem them for rewards. I have not had any other experience with an insurance company, but I am so pleased with USAAs services and customer service that I won't be switching anytime soon. Highly recommended!

We have had a USSA Visa for years.  When things were very tought for us they made so much worse.  My husband was sending the min because that is all we had at the time.  He was late alot so they charged a large amount for late fees and raised the interest rate to over 26%.  I know they don't care about the person on their card.  They only want the interest.  My husband was told he is bipolor and he sure got us in a very bad mess with money.  We lost everything by the time he was done.  I called USSA and told them what has happened and they didn't help us at all.  We want to pay it off as it is the only bill we have, but we are liveing on SS every month and it hard.  We also had to get a small morage.  I sold everything I had.  Took a loss on everything.  I really don't need things anymore anyway.  I bought a small ranch house to live in till we die.  I am 70 and he is 67.  I called them to see if they would work with us.  Interest rate is 12% and I know some credit cards will get it down to 8%.  They don't do it because of the money they make on us.  They have made so much money on us already, when is it enought.

I had several high interest credit cards and a lot of debt under my belt when my grandmother (who is a military widow) suggested I apply to USAA to do a balance transfer since USAA already insured both of our vehichles.  USAA was simple, easy to use and had none of the haggles or frills of other cards.  Yes, I pay an annual fee but it is reasonable and very worth it to get the advantage of the lowest published interest rate.  My only use for credit cards now is to get out of debt, I don't need travel miles or bonus points or any other non helpful program that is offered by so many other cards.  I need to get my debt paid down, and low interest allows me to pay more than the minimum each month to reduce that debt.  With free online bill pay and the ability to pay more than once a month, I am partnering with a card that truely does have my best interest in mind.  The payments are easy to afford and yet set high enough that you aren't continually digging yourself into more debt.  USAA Platinum Visa is a true gem of a credit card company working with the people to have access to credit while not paying thru the nose interest rates.
