Tupperware Modular Mates - Storage System

make storing food easy

5

Living in an old farm house, I try to keep all of my food out of paper boxes and in plastic tupperware containers. The Tupperware Modular Mates Storage System are perfect for keeping cereal, crackers, rice, etc. I like that these containers are clear so I can tell exactly what is in them without having to label the containers. Also, it's convenient that they come in many different shapes and sizes. They stack easily, which is important when dealing with limited cabinet space. These are really affordable, and I have purchased so many of them over the years that have held up really well. Normally, to wash these, I just put them on the top shelf of the dishwasher. I don't think a single tupperware container of mine has melted or cracked over the years. I even will store things like Christmas Cookies in the freezer in these tupperware containers. They definitely work to keep the cookies and other items from getting freezer burned.

Great in the Pantry

4

I've had many incarnations of these Tupperware Modular Mates throughout the years and the fact that they are still available, let alone popular, speaks to their quality and versatility. These are very good for the pantry and things that you do not use daily. The stacking quality alone is excellent. The lids fit tightly and are water and air tight, providing an excellent seal against humidity and bugs which is awesome for baking supplies and pastas in the pantry. The variety of sizes is excellent and there is a container to fit any possible storage need. The only thing I don't like is that they are rather difficult to open and close as the lids fit so snuggly so I don't really use them for things like cereal that I use on a daily basis. For longer term storage they are great! I store everything from sugar and flour to chocolate chips and raisins in these. They are easy to hand wash or can go in the dishwasher with no problems.

It keeps your food fresh!

we have the cereal storer. We love it. It is easy to use. All you have to do Is put cereal in and close the lid. It keeps moisture out so cereals and dry goods don't get soggy or ruined. When you want to use it, just flip the lid open and pour. When you are done using it, just close the lid securely and store it. I would highly recommend this product.

Modular Mates are an amazing organizational tool.

5

I love organization, and even more I love organizational bins/boxes/containers. It makes me so happy to see items find a home in a container with a cute little label on it. I purchased the entire Modular Mates sets (all shapes and sizes) when I was a Tupperware consultant and they were having a promotion. I know they are a bit costly and I don't know if I would have purchased this exact organizing tool if I didn't get a discount. This would be an investment piece, but the quality if fantastic so you will have them for a long time. I have had my Modular Mates for about 10 years, and they still look like new all these years later. I have all of my baking needs (i.e. chocolate chips, baking powder, etc) in the square containers. My flour and sugar are in rectangular containers. The rest of my cooking needs (i.e. pancake mixes, rice, noodles, etc.) are in either the rectangular containers or ovals. The best features of this product is that they stack so nicely and they are really sturdy. I also like that you can see the food, but because the container is a bit translucent the label stands out on the container vs. what food is inside.

Tupperware modular mates

I love the ability organize my pantry, but some of my pieces have a rancid smell in them. They are empty and sitting in my cupboard. I have tried cleaning them with baking soda and other cleaners, they are fine for a while and when I use them for food, the odor returns and the food absorbs the smell.

Good sturdy storage system & Containers.

Several years ago I was a Tupperware lady. Around that time they started coming out with the Modular Mates collection and even offered Tupperware ladies like me training in kitchen organization using the modular mates so you could actually go in to a customers kitchen and organize it for them if they wanted you to do so. I don't know if they still do that or not it has actually been around 16 or so years since I was a Tupperware lady. Modular mates come in all kinds of sizes and even a few different shapes, they come in different sized oval, squares, rectangles and there is even a tall round spaghetti dispenser. The Modular mates are made with good sturdy good quality plastic and of course come with Tupperware's life time time guarantee. The containers themselves are dish washer safe but I don't recommend putting the lids in the dishwasher. These are meant for storing not cooking and they are meant for dry pantry items rather than for left overs or refrigerator storage although they will work just fine for that too. I have used mine in the fridge a lot over the years. They are also not meant for microwaving, but they have been put in the microwave for a short amount of times a few times over the years. The lids git nice and tightly on the containers which insure that your items stay nice and fresh. The colors of the lids have changed a bit over the years. At this current time you can choose from royal blue and a reddish color. The lids of the modular mates are indented in such a way that you stack the Modular Mates that are the same size on top of each other. The quality is excellent. I have bought a few more here and there over the years but I still have some of the Modular Mates that I had 16 years ago and they are still in great condition. You would never know they are that old. You can buy similar items cheaper from other companies but I can tell you from experience they will not last as long as the Tupperware Modular Mates, and if they do break or crack Tupperware will replace them. So if you are looking to organize your entire kitchen or if you just have somethings you would like to store neatly and tightly then you should order some Modular Mates. Call a local Tupperware lady and give her the order or book a party and get some free stuff. It is a hard job to do and make money at and in this economy it is always nice to help someone out. The prices are different according to the size you choose.

Mod Mates Not Just Containers, But The Start Of Kitchen Makeover

5

**THE TUPPERWARE MODULAR MATE SYSTEM**     There are not enough good words that I can say about this system.  It will most certainly get you organized.  It not only works in the kitchen; but can be used in the bathroom, bedrooms, nursery, craft room, laundry room, and even the garage or workshop!     This system is designed to all fit together to maximize a minimal space.  I live in an old Victorian home with NO space in my kitchen and am so grateful for this product.  That is why I say that I can't thing of anything negative about it.     All of the seals are airtight and protect your food from dampness (no more hard sugar) and bugs (yes, I said bugs!), when you bring home products in bags that are sealed with glue such as flour and sugar, they should be emptied immediately because tiny bugs love to eat that glue.  Once they find the glue, they have also found your food item (bleck).     The smallest one is an Oval 1 and holds 2 cups.  The largest one is a Rectangular 4 and holds 37 cups.  There are many sizes in between.  If you want to know more about the system, there is a hand out that your Tupperware Woman would gladly mail to you.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Tupperware Mod Mates!!

5

I just love these things!! I purchased three sets of Tupperware Modular Mates Storage Systems over six years ago. I loved them immediately and continue to do so this day. I like how you can stack and arrange them and make them fit into your cabinet or pantry and maximize all the space! I'm a fan of putting things that come from the store in boxes or bags, the bulk items mostly, into these containers. I've never had any bug issues like you hear some people having, and perhaps I'm lucky or maybe its that I use these. Also, another great thing is that the containers are clear so you know exactly whats in each of them. You don't have to make labels if you don't want to! I like to use a wet-erase marker and write any information I might want to save- Like for pancake mix, I will write the ratio of water to mix if I think I might forget it otherwise. And when I'm done using pancake mix in that container I can just wet rag the writing off- no need to peel/replace labels. The two downfalls I can think of for this product is this: that they are expensive, especially if you are just starting and need a bunch. And the second is that Tupperware occasionally changes the lid colors as the years go on. If your a color coordinated person or like things to be matching/same, that might be frustrating.. But other than that, these things ar the bomb!

STILL loving them after 25 years!

5

I was looking for items to review from the kitchen and have overlooked these numberous times but am finally going to do a writeup for them. I have the cornflower or light blue topped Modular Mates and have had them for over 25 years now and can say that they are as new looking today as they were when I bought them. I have no less than 3 sets of these and they set in my pantry holding varous cooking items such as flour, chocolate chips and pasta. They come in various sizes and there isn't a size that I dont' use! Honestly, even the smalled container holds things like spices and baking soda! There isn't an empty one in my home. The set came with preprinted clear labels that are STILL clinging to the sides of my cannisters and they have been washed and dried over and over through the years and still remain. I cannot believe how great this set of kitchen storage containers is and I am amazed at what they cost today but, I will say, "MAKE THE INVESTMENT" in them since they will be around for years to come. BTW, anyone out there have any of the lighter cornflower blue cannisters they want to unload? :O) Sandy

Tupperware modular mates save space and money!

5

I have had several sets of these for nearly 20 years! These modular mates are an excellent storage system and they really do save a lot of space and time, because you can find what you want very easily. That is why the containers themselves are clear - you can see what is inside! The reason I say that they save money, is because they help prevent things going stale - like if you usually keep chips in the bag with a chip clip, it still lets air in. These have an air-tight seal, so put your chips in there and they won't go stale. They stack perfectly because they were made too. They are durable and come in sooo many shapes and sizes it's ridiculous! You can't really lose with Tupperware because their products are garanteed for life and if you have a problem, they'll give you a new one. I have just recently, after all these years, had one smaller rectangle container crack for some unknown reason and a lid cracked as well. But, other than that, these have been great for me!
