Easy to use and can be tailored

4

I'm really impressed with this travel website. I signed up for the kids edition and they send me an email about once a week for kids activities. If you sign up for a certain city, they'll tailor it to your city. I also like that they have giveaways and unique areas where you can get more information. The fact that the site sends you information in your area makes it really nice so that you don't have to search for it when you go on the site. Ease of Use If you sign up for the newsletter, the email newsletter contains a lot of information when you first look at it. Then all you have to do is click on whatever interests you and then it'll take you to that particular section on the website. Features I like the kids edition if you sign up for it. And there are always giveaways on their site. There are sections for hotels, for beaches, for museums, basically anything you can think of to travel to. Customer Service I'm assuming their customer service is good but I've never used it.

Best for Disney Fans

I discovered Trekaroo.com a couple years while preparing for a Walt Disney World vaction. I love this site for Disney reviews. There are large, clearly marked tabs across the top of the page: Destinations, Tips, Talk, Blog, Book Hotels, Buy Gear and Write a Review. They offer destinations across the United States as well as Canada. They also have a special section called Explore with Kids. This section is great for planning a family vacation. Each state lists several family friendly destinations, as well an offer to book special, discounted packages. The part about Treekaroo.com are the reader reviews. They offer reviews on anything you wanted to know, and on things you didn't even think you wanted to know! I love that the page has thought of everything. The Disney section allows you to see many, many reviews! I also like they offer the deal of the day, the best deal on flights, if you are a carefree traveler, you can get an amazing deal!

A godsend if you travel with kids

If you travel with kids, you need Trekaroo.com. Trekaroo is a travel website dedicated just for families. I don't have kids but I often travel and go places with my niece. Trekaroo is a godsend for this. For each destination we go to, we look on Trekaroo to find family-friendly activities. For example, we search in Philadelphia and a list of kid-friendly attractions comes up with reviews written by families. The reviews being written by just families is very helpful. With TripAdvisor, you have to look at the profile and wonder about who the people are and why they are on vacation-i.e. honeymooners, bachelorette party, college students, etc. My family and I are planning a trip to an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean right now and, before we went onto Trekaroo, it was very difficult to do the research. So many of the reviews on TripAdvisr and other sites were focused on partying or romantic activities-things that obviously we do not care about. After searching on Trekaroo, we were able to narrow our list down considerably by reading reviews from other families who had kids.

The best way to plan a trip with kids!

I stumbled on this website by accident. My husband and I were trying to choose between 3 destinations for next years' vacation, and looking to see what might be available for our 3 and 4 year old to do. This site is awesome! You can choose your city or state region, and it provides you of lists of kid friendly activities in that area, along with age appropriateness levels, cost, and other families reviews of activity. Everything from zoos to play grounds to kids museums to local attractions is there. The other awesome fact is that with most of their listings, you can link over to the website of the tour or activity/event to find out addresses, hours, cost, etc, and better plan budget-wise for your trip. This site also includes lists of kid friendly hotels and much more. This site was much more helpful to us to find information than many of the state sponsored websites we visited. Nowhere did the "official" websites tell you where the cool places to get the best pralines, walk a waterfront flea market, or other fun but not usually listed activities were. This site lists them all, for all ages, but with an emphasis on kid friendliness. The reviews are helpful, both good and bad. I was able to find out that you have to be 10 to swim with a dolphin, so I had to scratch that off my list. Ease of Use Once I figured out how to navigate the site, and change my location preferences, the site is a breeze, easy to read. All the listings for an area are listed by popularity ranking, so you only have to look at the first few pages if you want to. Features I still haven't been able to explore all the features this site has to offer. It is a definite "Favorites List" for me though, as I will be back often.
