PERFECT FOR LIGHT WRINKLES

4

When it comes to breaking the iron out for my family, I have a hard time finding the righ moment to iron their clothing, so they end up wearing wrinkles in their clothes. I received the Travel Steam Iron Steam Buddy out of the blue from a friend who suggested it after trying herself. When I first tried out this travel steamer I was pleased by the amount of steam produced to smooth out wrinkles. When I'm dressing my girls now I pick out their clothes and plug in this lightweight steamer and within seconds it's producing hot steam after cutting the power on and adding water. Now when it comes to deep set wrinkles in denim it helps but won't smooth out wrinkles like a full size iron will. This is also a great tool for bringing life back into items I find to resale. It used to be a long drawn out hassle to iron everything out, not anymore because of this handy tool. It's a very simple product to use. I'll use it when I've been out all day and my clothes I'm wearing that day starts to look dull so I'll break out this handlheld steamer and within minutes my clothes appear to look fresh. Since owning the Travel Steam buddy I've only used my iron maybe twice. If you are looking to iron suits and smooth out items this isn't the item you need. But garments that have light wrinkles and just a small amount of refreshing, this is the perfect steamer for you. I am glad that I received this gift because it saves me so much time during the week.

A Waste

3

I brought this when I went off to school thinking that it would be really good and effective to use. It would leak alot and it never really got the wrinkles out of my clothes. It would be a waste of time to plug it up and attempt to use it. It kinda worked on thinner fabrics but would not work for anything serious. It would also leave water spots on my clothes and that was annoying.

On the Road Again....

4

As much as I love my Travel Steam Iron, I would never use it at home. This is the type of product that you take with you when your belongings are limited and so is your space. That's not to say that the Travel Steam Iron is not adequate because it is more than adequate when you're on the road. I don't do a great amount of traveling but when I have to go on the road, rather it be for work or for leisure, I am the type of person that has to have a way of insuring that my wardrobe isn't looking like I've just taken it out of my luggage! That being said, the Travel Steam Iron is the perfect iron and/or steamer to just toss into your luggage and once you get to your destination, you can easily iron or even steam your clothes. In my case, both. It isn't as effective as the iron that you have at home but when you're on the road, it gets the job done just fine. If I had to choose between the two, I'd opt for the steamer because the steamer works awesome but the iron aspect, not so much. But as far as convenience goes, I'd recommend it.

Not the best quality

3

We received the Travel Steam Iron (as seen on TV) as a gift, since my husband was traveling a lot for work. It seems like a good concept to have a portable iron for touching up work clothes and getting out wrinkles due to travel. However, this iron was not effective in getting out any wrinkles. It took a long time for the iron to even heat up. Once it did, even with going over the garment multiple times the wrinkles were still present. Performance The iron took awhile to heat up and then did not get the wrinkles out. It was not effective. The iron did not perform as advertised. It was disappointing. We ended up returning it, Safety The iron had no safety issues; it seemed to be constructed well as far as safety concerns. Design The iron was designed to make traveling more convenient; my husband had to track down a different iron before a meeting because this one failed to heat up in a timely manner and get out the wrinkles. I would not recommend relying on it.

Doesn't Work For Long

2

The first three years I had the SteamBuddy steamer, I was quite pleased with it. I didn't use it too often, only to press my dresses on occasion when they got wrinkled from hanging in the closet. I only used distilled water in it, and then let it dry completely after draining it before putting it away when I was finished using it. After just three short years, however, and after using it only about ten times, it didn't work anymore. It heated-up, but didn't release any steam. I followed the "Troubleshooting" instructions: cleaning it with distilled vinegar, etc., but nothing worked. I took excellent care of it, so it should have lasted longer than it did. Performance It performed very well for as long as it worked, but it should have worked for longer than ten times.

Sometimes doesn't work but is inexpensive

This steamer doesn't always work, sometimes it needs a few minutes to heat up rather than the suggested 10 seconds but for the price, it does work well when it finially works. The creaser attachment is hard to use but the steamer is small and lightweight so you can take it anywhere.

Travel Steam Iron Steam Buddy

AS SEEN ON TV travel Steam Iron works pretty well.  If you travel a lot it can be a godsend.  The only problem is, it can get clogged up.  My suggestion is to bring a bottle of water.  Using bottled water eliminates the impurities that can clog up the iron.  Then, your good to go for a long time.

Steam Buddy is almost entirely useless.

I got this thing as a present from my mom. It pretty much is entirely useless. It is difficult to tell if the thing is on or off, the steam is very weak, and it doesn't knock out wrinkles at all. The best it does is soften them a little if you work on the garment for a long time. Moderately better than nothing but not a great item,

lightweight and two items in one

the iron is great for  working people as well as retired folks who want a quick steaming or ironing for wrinkled clothing. sometimes  you cannot just steam out a wrinkle , and still need the iron.  with this two in one item your clothes can always look like it was just ironed, even if you cheated and just steamed it. great for travel also. easily fits into suitcase or travel bag.  the iron is very light and easy to use even if you have arthritis, are weight limited due to injury of arms and hands, have limited motion in you limbs, or are in any way wheel chair bound.  the iron can be stored in a small space and does not need an actual ironing board to use.  one can use it with a sheet or towel on a table or bed.  greaat for teaching children how to iron to take care of their clothes as little hands need something more appropriate as alearning tool.  the price is also good as you are getting two for the price of one.
