My cats did not like it this time

4

I have two 2 yr old male cats. I feed them this (Turkey dinner) for over a year. They usually love it. However, this time (July 2017), they don't like it. I fed them for dinner and breakfast. Both times, they did not eat right the way and walked away (they usually finish it in one minute). I smelled the food. It does not smell like usual and color also does not look fresh and reddish like usual but looks grey.

inexpensive but amazing quality

I went to Trader Joe's and for the first time actually checked out the pet section. I usually don't because I've been buying my cat other regular grocery store brands for awhile, but I decided to pick up a few of the Trader Joe's wet foods for my cat. I picked out the Turkey and Giblets Dinner. My cat is pretty picky about her foods, and most of the time only seems to like turkey with gravy. I thought she would ignore this food like a lot of the other wet foods I've tried to feed her but she actually really liked it. The turkey and giblets dinner had a lot of nice turkey, poultry giblets, and gravy in it. The food was very chunky with a nice layer of gravy other it. I usually can't stand the smell of cat foods, but this didn't smell bad at all, and it actually smelled like it was edible. This food is really inexpensive, but it only has wholesome ingredients in it. I was happy to see that it had real chicken, turkey, and fish in it. It doesn't have any artificial flavorings or by products in it either. I was excited that my cat ate the giblets because she's never had them before. She really enjoyed this food, and ate the whole thing. I would buy it again, but the only downside I have is that this food seems to sell out pretty quickly, and is very popular, so I guess I have to hurry and get there when they stock up before anyone does. Quality of Ingredients The ingredients are great, because it doesn't have any artificial flavors or by products in it. It has chicken, ocean white fish, turkey, turkey broth, poultry giblets, as the first couple ingredients. These ingredients give it a nice meaty fishy flavors, and a great smell to it. This good is inexpensive, but they do not skimp on quality. Flavor Selection They have a nice selection of meaty, and fishy flavors for cats, but I got my cat the Turkey and Giblets Dinner. I think the next time I might let her try to chicken, turkey, and rice flavor.

My cat didn't like Trader Joe's Turkey and Giblets Dinner Canned Cat Food all that much. I love Trader Joe's and I saw this food was very affordable so I thought I would give it a try. I only give my cat wet food as a treat so I only bought a few cans of this. She absolutely LOVED the gravy part of the food but not the actual chunks of food in it. She would lick up all the liquid then just leave the food there. I'm not sure what the deal was but it just didn't seem to be the food for her. My cat loves dry Trader Joe's foods but didn't seem to like this Trader Joe's Turkey and Giblets Dinner Canned Cat Food. I like that their ingredients are much better than most other cat foods. There isn't as much junk in them and I feel better giving it to my cat. She loved the gravy from this food but not the food itself. With all 3 cans i bought she just licked up the liquid part and left the food. I can't explain why because she LOVES when I treat her to wet cat food and she isn't a picky eater. Maybe give the Trader Joe's Turkey and Giblets Dinner Canned Cat Food a try but my cat just didn't seem to care for it much. It's really inexpensive and the ingredients are better than most other canned cat foods.

EXCELLENT AFORDABLE CAT FOOD

Trader Joe's is not only known for its cheap wine and great food selection, it is now also known for its cat food. MEOW! I went with my friend to trader joe's in new york and we thought we buy a can of cat food for the cat cat and see how he likes the product. We bought this the turkey and giblets along with the salmon one. When we brought it back it and fed it to the cat, the cat loved it. It licked all of the pieces off the plate. My cat is really picky and it's rare to find other food produts that he likes besides 9lives but trader joes did the job. As for the con comment about it "smells more like fish than turkey", I don't think that is true. Although it doesn't smell like turkey, it smells more like a blend of turkey and chicken guts, hence the giblets. And yes it can be difficult to find, as I know only two location in New York but if you do come across it, do buy it because your cat will be that much happier.

Affordable with no by-products

We gave this cat food a try a few months ago, because it was affordable and carried no by-products.  One of our cats will eat anything, but we have a very finicky second cat and we weren't sure how he'd like it.  Well, one sniff of the food and he gobbled it up!  I'm very happy to have found a decent cat food for this low of a price.
