Purchased this item to replace an HP. Couldn't be happier! As a post-grad student taking online courses, I need a dependable computer. This item fits all of my needs - tons of memory, ease of operation, affordable. Ease of Use Turn it on and go! Nothing complicated about this machine, incredibly user-friendly. Battery Life I always try to keep my laptop charged during home use, but I am very pleased with the life of the battery. I also like that this model gives the user adequate warning before shutting down. Support & Service I've only needed to contact Toshiba once for a very basic issue (that I should have figured out myself), but the customer service was friendly and excellent. Speed/Performance I've been using this laptop for over six months, and the speed and performance have yet to waiver. Internet connection is swift, and pages load with no frustration. Design Standard design, but serviceable and easy to use. I like the slightly larger keyboard as I prefer a "calculator" style entry for numbers. Durability I try to be careful, but sometimes my laptop bag gets bumped around. I've had absolutely no problems. This computer has kept up with all of my late-night keyboard pounding with no issues.
