Luscious Smell, Poor Performance, and ITCHY HEAD
The first product I ever tried for my hair from the TIGI Bed Head company was Oatmeal and Honey. Upon being encouraged with wild ravings from various people I met in the hair industry, I decided to purchase a kit of Oatmeal and Honey hair care. The gorgeous aqua and turquoise containers were a pleasure to look at. I could not wait to try out this hair care line that so many raved about endlessly. Effectiveness I have very baby fine hair. It is thin and gets weighed down easily. My hair needs volume and encouragement to wave or curl before it looks even halfway nice. This shampoo immediately cleaned my hair squeaky clean. It was SO clean that it ended up being static in the winter. My hair looked volumized somewhat, but it didn't really look too good for long. Within a day my hair became flat and looked dirty again. I gave the rest of this to my son who has coarse wavy hair and although he liked it at first, it left his hair getting dirty more quickly too. Another problem that came up with this shampoo is that it made my head itch badly. My son got a lot of dandruff from it. Because of that I have rated it Poor. I only left it a notch up from very poor because the smell is fantastic . If they had redesigned this without sodium lauryl sulfate, perhaps it might not be so harsh. Scent The smell of this shampoo is so luscious, it makes you want to use it every day even if you don't need to! It is like oatmeal cookies with vanilla and raisins and cinnamon...Even thinking about it makes me want to go get the bottle out to smell it.
