I absolutely love my Ove Glove and recommend it to anyone who will listen.Natrually I own 2 because I have 2 hands! I would never go back to using a regular oven "mitt", which are awkward and dangerous. This glove allows for full use of all 5 fingers independently and covers the bottom of the wrists. I feel much safer gripping items and am confident I won't burn myself in the process. In a pinch I've used the glove as a trivet to rest hot plates on temporarily. Ease of Cleaning Easy to put in the washing machine and air dry and it retains its shape perfectly. I turned one of mine inside out to get the inside of the fingers clean and it was so hard to get it back to right side out. Durability I use them for everything hot from the oven to the grill and light bulbs. No tears or stretching or melting of any kind. Design Fits my smaller hand and my husband's large hands equally nice, the grips are in all the right places too.

I have a lot of pot holders and oven gloves that I use when removing cookie sheets and baking pans from the oven but most of them look like they've been dragged through the mud. I got a pair of the Ove Glove Hot Surface Handlers for Christmas last year and was laughing when I opened the box that contained them. I figured that they would be the usual, run of the mill As-Seen-On-TV product that looks great but fails to perform. I was glad that I was wrong about this and that I actually gave them a try in the kitchen. It goes without saying that I was nervous about using these to remove things from the oven so I tried them out when I had all the burners going on the stove and needed to move the pots around; there was no way I was going to reach in to the oven and pull out a metal cookie sheet without knowing whether these gloves would actually protect my hands. I felt absolutely nothing when I picked up the pots but the handles and moved them around. After I tested them out on the pots I figured the true test would be a cookie sheet; I put one glove on and had a pot holder ready in the other hand in case the heat from the sheet penetrated the glove. I felt nothing and in this instance, that's a good thing! The box that the Ove Gloves came in claimed that they were heat resistant to over 500 degrees; I have never cooked anything that's called for that much heat but it is nice to know that if I have to grab a large or oversized baking pan out of the oven I will be able to use these to get a solid grip on it and be able to carry it to the counter without worrying about dropping it or it being too hot to hold evenly. I was a little worried about how well the Ove Gloves (I received a paid) would protect my hands from heat after I washed them but I followed the instructions to wash them in warm water and air dry them and they worked great once they dried. Ease of Cleaning They are machine washable in warm water.

This is the best glove for cooking on the market. It can be used with any oven at any temperature. Ease of Cleaning Super easy to clean, whenever the glove gets dirty you can just throw them in the washing machines and then the dryer and they are all ready to go next time you need them to cook. Durability Super durability I use my gloves every day to bake and wash them once a month and they still look brand new, These gloves seem like they will last me forever and when the time does come when i need knew ones I will be sure to buy these exact ones over and over again. Design Love the design, there are two layers to glove the outer laying and the inside layer. both gloves can go on either hand and both sides have a blue grip that will stop anything from slipping out of your hands and do not melt even in the hottest conditions. I have had these gloves and have never felt the heat come through causing me to get a burn.

The Ove Glove definitely works as far as protecting your hands from heat goes, and it has its advantages over traditional oven mitts. It has rubber grips on the hand to prevent slipping, and the individual fingers allow for much more dexterity. It doesn't look as cute as a regular oven mitt does, they come in all these nice printed fabrics, and the white fabric can get a little dingy looking from touching burnt things, but overall I think it is safer than an oven mitt because you are less likely to drop things.

When The Ove Glove Hot Surface Handler came out, I thought it looked like the best idea ever. No more worrying about oven mitts, just use a glove and you could handle hot items as if you were just picking them up with your hands. I bought two of these, and I was really disappointed with my purchase. First thing, they did not work that well to block the heat. My hands still felt a large majority of the heat from the pans, and it was difficult to carry items from the oven to the table. Secondly, they got very dirty. There didn't seem to be a good way to clean them. No matter how often I would wash them, they stayed a sort of dingy color. They did not look clean and sanitary for me to be handling food dishes while wearing these gloves. Lastly, they were annoying to put on. If you are making cookies, it is so much easier to just use a square piece of material to get the cookie trays out of the oven or switch the shelf the trays are on. You waste a lot of time putting on these gloves to only take them off a second later. Because of all those reasons, I don't use these gloves anymore. I honestly don't even know where they are.

I think every cook should have these pot holders. Other pot holders work some of the time---if the pain in question is not too hot, but the ove glove can be used all the time. When I'm cooking, I often have a couple pots on the stove and something in the oven and when the buzzer goes off, in the past, I would rush to the oven and I wasn't always careful so I've been burned. Also, when picking up something too hot with an insufficient pot holder there is always the fear that you might drop the pan and ruin what you've just cooked and possibly the pan. I actually have two ove-gloves and I put both on if I am removing something big or awkward. Ease of Cleaning I know I can put the ove glove in the washer, but I rarely do it---in part because I use both ove-gloves all the time and I don't want to have to go get it out of the wash. Durability I've had the ove glove for a long time and it still looks good and works really well. Design It does take a moment or two to put the glove on, but having a glove allows me to fully grab pots and pans and to even put two gloves on to carefully remove casseroles from the oven.

This product actually works pretty good for what its intended for. If you hate trying to get a pan out of the oven with pot holders or those oversized cumbersome oven mitts this product is a good idea. It actually allows you to move your fingers independently instead of having a huge mitten on your hand. The blue stuff does help you get a pretty good grip on the pan too. I think this glove would be good for people who bake all the time. I was the type of person who always used a dish towel to get pans out of the oven. Somebody gave us this glove as a gift and I do use it a lot when I am using the oven. Ease of Cleaning This glove is pretty easy to clean just throw it in the washing machine when you get something spilled on it. Other then that just wash it once in a while and its fine. Durability This glove seems pretty durable. I have had it for like a year an a half and its still working fine. The blue stuff has come off a little bit and i am not sure how much that is to insulate your hands or for grip but it still works just fine. Design This glove has a pretty basic design although I am not sure why someone did not think of it sooner. The material is pretty good at insulating your hand so maybe it is some sort of new material.

I love this glove! It really works! I have bought plenty of oven mitts, but none of them come close to the performance of the Ove Glove. When I take something out of the oven with other oven mitts, I can still feel the heat of the pan through the gloves. With the Ove Glove, I feel no heat at all. It's like the pan isn't even hot. Ease of Cleaning I think this glove is super easy to clean. I just rinse it under water and if there is ay food on it, it comes right. It's almost like the rubber grips are non-stick. Durability This glove is really durable. I have had for a long time. It hasn't torn or broken in any way. The performance is still great also. It still works as great as the day I got it. Design The glove is not the most appealing to the eye but, it does fit all hand sizes. It allows movability of the hand also. I really like that it has fingers instead of being in the style of mittens. This makes it a lot easier to pick up certain pans.

I haven't really used The Ove Glove Hot Surface Handler very many times and it's already wearing out. Don't get me wrong, when I do use it, it works pretty well. It makes handling the hot objects easier than a regular oven glove and it helps me grip it more, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Almost a waste of money.

Seems like this item would be more of a gimic....my Grandma gave us all these for Christmas one year and I need to buy another. Best Oven mitt ever! This Ove Glove makes it really easy to grab onto whatever you have in your oven that you're taking out. Cookie sheets, lasagna pans and other odd shapes/sizes of pans. Ease of Cleaning Toss in the wash then dry on low and you're good to go! You can also just handwash out any small stains that get on it. Durability I've had this item probably 8 years now, and I need at least one more so I have one for each hand. It really does withstand a high high oven temperature. It has not frayed or torn at all, after multiple washings. Design Not a bad looking item, not designer either....but when it comes to taking hot things out of my oven....I want something that works. Sure you can have a really pretty pot holder, but it's not going to take the heat like this glove can. I like the glove fingers better than a potholder mitt style, makes it easier to work with.
