The Body Shop Blueberry Body Butter, is a great product overall. I got it because i was looking for an inexpensive way to exfoliate and moisturize my skin. I have sensitive skin so i was afraid the product was going to burn and inflame my skin as other products have. I was willing to take a try because if it didn't work, i wouldn't be spending too much money. I was highly shocked when i tried the body butter and it worked. It left my skin smooth and hydrated without any breakouts, rashes, or inflammation. The only thing i didn't really like is the smell. I was expecting a natural blueberry scent, but it didn't smell like that at all. It had a plastic like smell to it that i didn't take a liking to. Other than the lack of proper scent, the product was very useful and i think i would probably buy it again, possibly in a different scent. For the cheap price of the body butter and the quality it was most definitely a good deal.

Despite my ongoing love affair with all of The Body Shop's body butters even I paused when I saw their Blueberry Body Butter. My first thought was "That sounds so nasty". Then I opened the jar and i fell in love... again. I was a bit taken aback by the dark blue of the body butter, but there's no need to worry - it does not actually color your skin. There's no risk of looking like you accidentally dyed yourself blue. The scent was really the deciding factor for me on this body butter. It really stood apart from the others as it was completely unique and smelled so amazing. It reminded me of freshly baked blueberry muffins or blueberry pancakes. It just smells so delicious! As a body butter it performs just as well as its siblings, moisturizing thoroughly without leaving a residue behind. It absorbs quite quickly for such a thick cream. I never feel greasy after I use this. This was just what my dry winter skin needed to revive itself. My nose is quite thankful for it as well! The blueberry scent is quite subtle once it is on the skin but it does linger and I've found myself sniffing my arm after using it to get a hit of that blueberry goodness.

The Bottom Line: This Body Shop Blueberry Body Butter is a limited edition and will randomly be available in stores, and if you do see it, I highly recommend getting yourself a tub. It is extra moisturizing (like most Body Shop Body Butters), and it is the scent that really sets it apart. Even if you are not a blueberry fan (like me), you might just fall in love with the scent after all! I love The Body Shop Body Butters, and some people might see me as a bit of a Body Butter hoarder if they saw my bathroom. I have tried every single Body Butter from the Body Shop but I am always very excited to try a new, different scent, like this Blueberry one. As for most other Body Shop Butters, this one contains Shea butter and sesame seed oil, but it also has beeswax (which is better than petroleum jelly) and blueberry seed oil. These ingredients make this formula super rich and moisturizing, and so it is quite thick, and does take a bit longer for it to get absorbed. But what a difference it will make if you have dry skin. The effects will also last for at least 24 hours, or until you shower again. The only downside to this butter (but it really only is a downside if you have to wear perfume every day), is that it will not mix well at all with perfume. It is best used on its own. Scent I would not call myself a blueberry fan, and at best I usually find it underwhelming. But this Body Shop body butter is a while different story! It really smells like real sweetened blueberries, and because the Body Shop actually use real fruit extracts and oil (it does have some blueberry oil in its formula), it never smells fake or chemical at all. It is neither too strong nor too weak, and smells very natural. I have gotten p many compliments from people, even total strangers, about how I smell after using this body butter. Absorption Because it is a thick butter type of cream, it will take a bit longer to get absorbed, but it never leaves a greasy residue or a tacky feeling. Effectiveness This body butter is super effective on extra dry skin, and especially helpful if you live in an area with cold and dry winters.

I absolutely LOVE this scent! Although blueberries don't necessarily have a smell (in my opinion), if they did, they would smell like this! I could sit and sniff this scent for long periods of time to lift my spirits and help me drift away! LOL I love the butter, wash and lip balm. Come out with more, please! Scent AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! I cannot get enough of this scent and love that it has the body wash, too. The nicest thing about this scent is that it lingers into the morning after I have applied it at night after my bath. It's nice to wake up to it. I do hope that they come out with a body mist to compliment the line. Absorption As with all The Body Shop butters, it's really thick, creamy and does seem to absorb well in my skin. It leaves a nice sheen on my legs that I do love. If you have really dry skin, you may love this product in any scent. Effectiveness I cannot complain about how this product performs. It smells great, feels good on my skin and keeps my dry skin at bay.
