The first time I saw the updated version of Raphael I had to laugh; while it is highly detailed and features a lot of sculpted texture on the clothing it was tough to see him playing a brute. Because of the way he was designed he looks larger than other figures; he is in an attack position but thankfully his feet are flat so he doesn't tip over easily. "Raph The Barbarian" is one of the more recent additions to my collection of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the 2013 series released by Nickelodeon and Playmates Toys. He only comes with one accessory / weapon but it is something that's hard to miss when you see it. The long-handle axe looks great no matter how you have it positioned however if you have it straight out in an attack stance it can make him totally uneven which means he will fall over easily if bumped. The helmet, adorned with a skull, can be removed so you can see all of his face (that isn't hidden by the mask) and it can be used on other figures in the series. Out of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in this series, Raphael has the most textured detail but there is a downside to it. The bulkiness makes him look larger than the other characters which might be seen as a con to some collectors.
