I love spicy food and I LOVE bacon, so when my new Spring/Summer Tastefully Simple catalog came out with a Hoppin' Jalapeno & Bacon Dip Mix, this was the first thing I made. Everything I make tends to be spicy. When company comes over for dinner, I usually have to adjust my meals because no one seems to like food as spicy as my husband and I. When I order something "spicy" on a menu, it never seems to be spicy to me, so I was surprised when I made this dip and it really was spicy. The first thing you taste is a wonderful bacon and jalapeno flavor, but then you get that spicy bite at the end. I love it! Like all Tastefully Simple products, **Hoppin' Jalapeno & Bacon Dip Mix **is really easy to make. Simply combine the mix with mayo and sour cream, let sit in the fridge for two hours and you have a delicious dip! I always use low-fat mayo and sour cream for a lighter calorie dip and it tastes just as good as the full-fat alternatives. This dip is awesome with tortilla chips, but it makes a wonderful, spicy alternative to mayo on a sandwich. If you want to make killer jalapeno poppers, simply mix the dip mix with cream cheese instead of mayo and sour cream and stuff into jalapeno halves, wrap in bacon and put them under the broiler. Yummy! I have been a Tastefully Simple consultant for almost three years and this is by far my favorite dip that has come out. If you like jalapeno and bacon flavors with a little heat, I HIGHLY recommend this dip!
