This product works very well and effective. I like the fact that it's all natural and uses no chemicals. The ingredients appear safe. I only need to take two at night and works very well in the morning. If I take too much, it does cause stomach cramps which  has caused problems at night. Your body can get used to these so they do become less effective the more you use them. It's best to switch between natural laxatives with different ingredients to help this product work if you take need to take them regularly. The price for the 250 count is much better than buying the smaller count bottle. We previously used Shaklee natural laxative but very expensive. The Swiss Kriss are much more reasonable especially if you buy these online verses a retail store. I don't believe these have harmful negative effects that I'm aware of. I have not noticed my body being addicted to these, my body still functions great as long as I'm eating enough fiber.
