My mother actually reccomended swapstyle to me, and at first it confused the heck out of me, I really was new to the whole swap thing. Now Im addicted and am on there everyday! Give it a go, theres great items and good people swapping. 5 Stars ps/ just be sure to check peoples swap tokens to make sure they are trustworthy

Im a single mum and found out a few weeks ago that a number of mums at my daughters kindy are swapping maternity clothes etc on swapstyle, sounded a bit weird at first as ive never even used ebay, but i have now had 3 fantastic swaps and am getting addicted!Im reccomending the site to friends and family, loving the site so far. very happy

I am so in love with swapstyle, and am dying for it to come back up.Ive noticed that they were the first swap website and then some guy (yes men) came along and tried to cash in on copying swapstyle to try to make some money from it. I hate greenwash and people copying other sites to try to make money, especially when swapstyle was made simply for good hearted reasons, thats why my friends and i wont use the other swap sites, as the owners are just money hungry guys cashing in on the green spin thats been around the last few years.And they seem to copy swapstyle like mad! Im studying business at the moment and Its making me look at other businesses with clear eyes now and ive found the whole swapping eco thing interesting to study. Actually I did a essay on it which brough in a high destinction, so Im pretty pleased my swapping obsession is even bringing in good grades ;) lol Another great site is makeupalley.com which has cosmetics, they have been around for years also. I love the original sites, not the copy cat sites. Anyhow I love swapstyle and i cant wait for it to come back up, so hoping my swap items are still up on the site, im sure they will be. Im getting sick of having to use ebay! anyhow 5 stars for swapstyle.com  :)

I have been using swapstyle for about 5 years now, its pretty much become an addiction :) it was the first swap site on the web by the looks of it so its by far the biggest with the best established swappers, ive actually made some really good friends though it over the years.As with all sites just use your gut when dealing with new swappers. Over all i adore the site, 5 stars for sure, its saved me thousands. The site is down at the moment, cant wait for it to come back up!

Fisrt there were too many errors and glitches, then the site has been hacked. Now it's been over 2 months that the moderators are supposedly trying to fix everything and put it to run again. Not sute it will happen, or it will take for ever... The hosts don't seem to care. That's my main impression about this site

I first signed up with Swapstyle a few months ago.  I was thinking "wow!  what a fantastic idea.  You can get rid of stuff you don't use and trade with someone to get stuff you do need or want!"  The first "swap" I made was great.  I traded some body spray for 3 shirts for my daughter.  Then on the next "swap" I was swaping with a woman named Jennifer Meador.  I sent my package to her right away, which was 3 pairs of jeans.  She was supposed to send me a jenga game, bob it game and a little kids book.  My package never came and every so often I would nicely contact Jennifer and ask what the hold up was.  Everytime should would make up a lame excuse such as, "oh I am so sorry, I accidently sent your package to another person in Florida with the same name as you."  Uh huh...so I decided to contact swapstyle myself and let them know of this incident.  Their website was down for a really long time.  Even when it started back up they wouldn't respond to my messages.  I realize deciding to do something like this has risks involved, but I am concerned how many other people Jennifer messed over!  I would not recommend anyone joining this site unless you want to be taken advantage of and have no one on your side.

So I am not cheap but very concious about how I can easily save money instead of waste it away when I could get more or use the saved money for food or rent. Of course that penny pinching doesn't get in the way of my love for fashion, so as styles get worn out I decide to try and sell it on ebay or something. When I found swapstyle I could just hear the choir singing. Here you can swap your clothing with someone or you can sell it for whatever price you would like. On top of that most of the things that are on this site is quite recent, and the latest fashion is not hard to find. Unless you're a guy it might be a bit harder to find what you're looking for, but other than that this

I heard about this Swap Style on a local radio station and decided to try it out. So far I love it. **Here's how it works**: You clean out your closet of all the clothing, shoes, accessories, and misc. household items you no longer want. You build a profile on the site (it's free) where you list all of your items and post pictures. These are your swaps. You also make a wish list of the things you are looking for. When someone sees something of yours that they like they contact you and ask you if you want to swap. You go to their profile and look at their swaps. If you find something of theirs you want you simply write back to them and offer your item for their item. Once everyone agrees you exchange addresses and ship out your things. (It works the same if you find something of some else's you want. You would contact them.) There are people out there trying to take your things just like everywhere else. Swap Style has created a "Swaplifter" list where they have the screen names of known offenders. You can always check out the person before you swap. Everyone can also leave feedback and tokens after a swap is finished so you can check those too. The variety of things available is wonderful. There are designer bags, designer clothing, shoes, jewelry, kids clothing, books, makeup, hair products, things for the house, etc. Some people will also sell their items in case you have nothing to swap but really want their stuff. So far I have done a few swaps since I am pretty new to the site but I have received lots of great stuff for items I was going to get rid of anyway. This site is a great way to change up your wardrobe without spending a ton of money and you can send your things away to someone who will use them instead of throwing them in the trash. Check out the site and you will probably be surprised at the great things people are looking to get rid of.
