Gas heat can be very drying so I have to have a humidifier in my bedroom during the winter months. My old humidifier which also was a sunbeam brand finally died after 4 years of use so I bought this Sunbeam humidifier to replace it. My last model only held one gallon so I decided to buy this one as it held a little bit more, 1.7 gallons. I have had it for about 3 months now and I have to say it works very well. I fill it up around bedtime and it dispenses a fine warm mist all night long. I keep it on high and it works perfect for keeping the air moist in my room. I don't understand why some people have complained about their carpet being wet and their surfaces being wet. I think maybe it must an error on their part as I don't have that problem at all. Output Volume Perfect output volume for such a compact machine. Performance Performs very well all night long with the tank when filled lasting 8 hours on high. Ease of Cleaning Easy enough to take apart and clean with warm soapy water. Durability The machine is very sturdy and works even after I knocked it off the table last week. Design Easy to grip and carry from room to room due to its compact design.
