I had recently become disenchanted with the shampoo I had been using for years. The Pert Plus all in one shampoo and conditioner was just not cutting it. I found that I had to shampoo and rinse at least twice in order to get the desired degree of cleanliness. My hair is shoulder length and tends to be on the oily side. My wife had started to complain that my pillows were beginning to smell "like old cheese". So at her request and my dissatisfaction with Pert Plus, I trotted down to the local Wal-Mart to see what was new. First let me say how amazed I was at the number of choices available. There was an entire aisle, five shelves high , with every imaginable color, scent, size, shape and price of hair cleaning product you could imagine. It was a daughnting  task just to make scense of whether or not a product was for a male, female or something in between. I actually found myself smiling  nostalgically when I saw some brand from my childhood like Prell or Alberto V-O 5. And all these products did not even include the ethnic brands. After standing and reading brand after brand for what seemed like an hour and enduring dirty looks and muttered epitaths from teenie boppers and blue haired retirees, my eyes were caught by a nondescript bluish grey plastic bottle on the bottom shelf with the words Suave For Men 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner embossed onto the bottle in a very no nonscence way. The fact that it was a 2 in 1 product caused mixed feelings as the Pert had been a simular product. But the 32 oz bottle and the very reasonable price( I'm always looking for a bargain) caused me to rationalize that I would not be out that much if I didn't like it. And besides I could always use it on the dog. (lots of things I buy get palmed off on that poor little mutt)  When I got home and after relaxing with a cocktail, to calm my nerves from my shampoo aisle experience, I decided to shower before the old lady got home so that she could help evaluate my new find.  The first thing I noticed was the outdoorsy fresh scent that the product gave off. It was on the idea of balsam and fresh mountain air. I poured out the same amount that I had been using of the Pert and noticed two things immediately. The first was that the Suave was much more viscous than the Pert and did not try to escape its intended use on my head as opposed to cleaning the shower floor. The second was that I had obviously poured way too much of the product as I was making enough great smelling foam to make a mad dog jealous. My way of judging whether or not my hair is clean has always been to pull my hair between my thumb and forefinger to ellicit a squeek. After less than two minutes of lathering my hair passed the squeek test and it was now time to rinse. My home has pretty good water pressure. For example my shower massager actually works. So I guess rinse times and effort will vary from home to home, but the Suave 2 in 1 rinsed out quickly and when combing out caused me to have fewer tangles and snarls to deal with.  The bath already smelled great but with blow drying and styling, made it feel like an aroma therapy experience. And the old lady gave ti two thumbs up for my hair' aroma and body. So if you are no longer happy with your shampoo, whether it is 2 in 1 or not, and you are as cheap or cheaper than me, give Suave for Men 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner a try. If you like it tell your friends. if you don't you can always use it on your dog.

I'm all about saving time getting ready in the morning and the suave 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner help me with that goal.  This product foams nice and cleans well.  The scent is not overwhelming but nice and light. It doesn't not smell perfumey or cologny.  I have very short hair, so I can't say whether or not it would work well for longer hair.  It seems to clean my hair fine and doesn't cause any irritation or over-drying.  My hair feels soft after I use it.  I have found nothing objectionable about it.  THe best part is the very inexpensive price.  I don't like to spend alot on hair products so that suits me just fine too.  It is also available just about everywhere, so you don't have to go to a special store or order it or whatever.  It's always available and easy to find.  I can recommend this product for anyone with short hair, but if you have long hair, you might want to read another review written by someone who has used it and has long hair - it might not condition enough for that.

I like simplicity in the shower and that's why I like to use the Suave for Men's 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner. I like the convenience of only having to lather up and rinse once instead of shampooing and conditioning. The Suave for Men 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner comes in a 14.5 ounce bottle, which for the two of us lasts for about a month or so of daily hair washing for both of us. The mix is scented with a somewhat sporty scent. It leaves my hair feeling clean. I have had problems with other shampoos drying out my scalp, but between the shampoo and the conditioners in the Suave for Men, I haven't had any problems, except for very dry weather. I do occasionally switch over to the Suave for Men 2 in 1 Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner when my scalp gets really dry in the wintertime or some other moisture rich shampoo and conditioner. Otherwise, I've been using this shampoo year round. I'd have to problem recommending this 2 in 1 to other guys looking for a new combination shampoo and conditioner.

I am not the kind of person that gets up every morning and spends two hours getting ready for work or play. I want to sleep as late as possible and get ready as fast as possible. A shampoo that is both shampoo and conditioner saves me time. My choice is ***Suave Men's 2-in1 Shampoo and Conditioner***. It is a reasonably priced product without being fancy. I don't look for all sorts of titles on my shampoo like "extra body," "reduces grey," or "no tangles." I want something that leaves my hair feeling clean and not greasy. I don't want extra body because what hair I have has plenty of body. I put a small amount of shampoo in my hair, lather up for a minute, let it sit for a minute or two and then rinse. That is all I need. A large bottle lasts me for some time and I can use it every day if I want without drying out my hair but it cleans my hair well enough that I can get away with washing my hair every other day. The only feature this shampoo offers is a variety of diffent sizes. I don't have to thing about the green bottle or the yellow bottle or the pink bottle. The only choice I have to make is, what size will I need. It is priced nicely for people who don't want to spend a great deal of money on personal grooming. I am happy that I have a full head of brown and grey hair at 54 years old but I don't want to spend lots of time preening. I have more important things to do during my life.

Suave Men Shampoo+Conditioner is my ideal hair care product. I genuinely care about my hair. I work construction, and stuck all day under a hard- hat in sweltering conditions does a lot of damage to my hair. (This not including dust and other assorted debris) This shampoo is cheap, not tested on animals, and gives me the cleansing I need and crave. I'm not a big conditioner buff, but this product doubles as shampoo AND conditioner, so there's no extra hassle for me to have clean, good looking hair. And, as aforementioned; it's good on my wallet.

This product unfortunately is a disappointment for me.  I have used other Suave products in the past with good results.  I have always associated the Suave name with value, quality, and reliability.  Suave shampoo and conditioner for men does not  work for me.  I find  it greasy, hard to rinse, and you have to use it twice to get the conditioning at all.  when I nuse it it seems to dry out my hair and make it unmanageable at first. After the first day it seems a little better, but I like to shampoo my hair frequently, and expect good results from it.  There is so much hype these days about which shampoo to us its difficult to choose.  I feel in this case I made the wrong choice.  I need a product that will make my fine hair look thicker and easy to manage.  For some types of hair this product may work fine, but as for me, "no soap",  pardon the pun.
