Smooth and Gentle Hair

5

Their shampoo is fun and easy for kids to learn how to use, and it leaves their hair smooth and soft! The 2-in-1 makes it even easier because you don't have to juggle a few bottles around while struggling to wash your kid. The smell of the Free and Gentle 2-in-1 makes your kid's hair smell great for days, and it's SUPER affordable. If you're strapped for cash but still looking to clean your children's hair well, this product is for you. It leaves your hair without tangles and makes the hair very gentle and smooth. Whenever I had a hard time untangling my hair, I always used the Suave Kids shampoo and it made my hair tangle free and easy to brush, no matter how tangled my hair was! I have wavy hair, so tangles are very common. However, as a kid, Suave shampoos would be the only thing that my parents were able to afford on a daily basis that would leave my hair looking nice and smelling great. I would recommend this product to anyone. The shampoo works for all types of hair. Effectiveness No tangles, easy bath time for your kids. Suave always does well with its different kid shampoo varieties that always produces good results. The 2-in-1 makes it easier for your kids to get the nutrients they need to have healthy hair as it always does with mine. Scent Suave, as always, has great smelling shampoos that fill the whole bathroom with the amazing smell. You can't go wrong with choosing Suave for scent! Although this shampoo doesn't have a distinct scent, it still smells great!

Suave Kids Free and Gentle works well

4

While I am not a fan of Suave products for my adult hair, I think they have done a great job in formulating their children's line of products. This shampoo is what my mom has at her house, and I have used it several times on my son. He does not ever complain about his eyes burning which is a must with children's shampoo. I found that the 2-in-1 shampoo with conditioner did help give my son more of a moisturized feel to his hair, whereas when I have used cheap shampoos by themselves they seem to do nothing. The Free and Gentle shampoo from Suave has a pleasant smell and does not smell chemically at all which is nice. I would recommend the Suave Kids Free and Clear shampoo to try on your children. It is a cheaper brand of shampoo and does contain some chemicals, but overall it is a decent product. Effectiveness Seemed to get my son's hair clean and left it feeling soft and smelling pretty good. Scent Not too bad, just a little chemically smelling.

It was gentle for the kids

4

Suave Kids Free and Gentle 2-in-1 Conditioning Shampoo is a very gentle shampoo for the kids. It did not hurt their eyes when they got soap in them and he it was not harsh on their fragile skin. But it did not well as on my older child with her longer hair. She liked that it was gentle on her eyes but not so much on her hair when we tried to brush it. It did work well on my younger boy who has short hair. Effectiveness The conditioner part of Suave Kids Free and Gentle 2-in-1 Conditioning Shampoo is not that great. When we washed my older daughters longer hair it was very hard to manage after wards. The next time we washed her hair with Suave but also used a conditioner as well. Scent There was no scent in Suave Kids Free and Gentle 2-in-1 Conditioning Shampoo. The point is for it to be free and clear of anything so it is gentle, and that was definitely achieved. We like scents in our shampoo so while it was gentle on their eyes will not be buying it again.

Pleasant shampoo

4

This is a pleasant 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner to use on my kids. I like that it does not have an overpowering scent. This is a shampoo/conditioner that I do not mind using if I run out of my product or do not have time to shampoo and condition my hair. It is very sudsy, we have hard water even with our water softener and it makes a lot of suds so I only have to use a minimal amount which stretches the amount of uses we can get from this bottle. My children believe this product is excellent to use when they want to have a bubble bath. It is gentle on their skin and the product does not cost a lot of money so I let them make some bubbles on occasion. The one thing I do not like about this 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner is that I think it should not sting my eyes or my sons' eyes when they are rinsing it out of their hair. it says tear free, but it is not. We solve that problem by making sure we have plenty of washcloths to cover up their faces.

Best for sensitive skin

5

Our daughter has sensitive skin, and even products we would consider "gentle" have caused her to break out in hives. Not this shampoo, though. It lives up to its name. From toddler age to school age, this shampoo has served us well. We've never had to worry that it would react poorly with her skin. As with the other Suave 2-in-1 products, we have no complaints. It works well on their long or short hair, and a small amount goes a long way toward clean. Lots of suds, which is fun for the kids. And even when it drips into their eyes, the complaining is minimal. We look for this again and again when we shop. Effectiveness It is truly gently on sensitive skin and still cleans as well as any other product of its kind. Leaves their hair feeling soft and clean, and it works the tangles out of long hair. Scent The scent is not overpowering--it's pretty much nonexistent--because it's "free and gentle." But it still leaves the kids smelling clean.

LOVE this product!

5

I absolutely love Suave Kids Free and Gentle 2-in-1 conditioning shampoo. I had bought it once on sale, and I expected that like other free and gentle products it would be rather bland. I was pleasantly surprised by the great fragrance it has. It is not heavy on perfume, but it is a great clean smell that I love on my children. I am a mother of 4, and this is appropriate on all four children, all of various ages. It is gentle enough for a baby. It does not sting their eyes, and does not cause their skin to break out. I have used it on both hair and body with good results and no irritation. Hair is soft and manageable after use, no tangles, and easy to comb. When given the choice, I choose this Suave product every time I'm looking for a kids shampoo. It is well priced and very effective. I am completely pleased with this product and will continue to buy it for my children over and over again.

Perfect Product for Kids with Sensitive Skin

4

Suave's kids products are so excellent and they are also so affordable, that, despite my complete distaste for their adult bath products, I happily purchase their children's items. I am thrilled that Suave added a Free and Gentle product to their kids' bath and body line as so many things that are added to soaps etc. can cause weird reactions in different kids. This product makes me feel like I can be an informed and cautious mother without breaking the bank. Effectiveness This is a great combination product. I love that you can get shampooing and conditioning done at the same time, which helps to cut down on screaming time in the bath. Since we use bath time to wind down, Suave's product helps us get to the fun faster, and with fewer tears. This is also because it is a gentle, tear free product and my son doesn't seem to mind if a bit gets in his eyes. Scent I respect the fact that this product is fragrance free for the safety of sensitive skin. That being said, since my son doesn't have a problem with the fragrances I do appreciate something that smells nice so that he smells fresh when he gets out of the bath. So the unscented is necessary I think, for the type of product it is, but I like to have some smell myself.

Free and Gentle, 2 in 1 keeping little Chance heads clean

4

With three kids running around, I have to have shampoo that both cleans well and is efficient. With the youngest being a girl with a head of fine hair, that means having a conditioner included. I've tried a variety of shampoos for her and found this is an absolute must or she gets very dry hair. Once this happens, rats could take up residence in the nests that form back there. I've previously used Suave Smoothers which gives me good results. I'm thinking it wasn't available the last time I went shopping so I picked up the Free and Gentle 2-in-1 Shampoo since it's supposed to be free of dyes and fragrances. The free and Gentle has been gentle on my little one's skin and hair for sure. For each cleaning it doesn't take a lot of product to cover a little head. Suave is also one of the cheaper children's shampoos, that doesn't have popular characters plastered all over it (though the last time I was at the store I believe some of the scents had characters instead of the animals.) For the price it works for my little ones. Effectiveness Suave's Free and Gentle is a clear liquid shampoo and conditioner in one. It comes in a squeeze bottle decorated with a little bear character. The liquid lathers ok, though I would prefer little more suds to it. Cleaning wise it does well for the children, even when they've had spaghetti in their hair, ears and nose. I have used this as well and wasn't completely impressed with the oil removing capabilities. Conditioning wise it does well. I had no problem brushing through my own hair. My daughter gets pretty fly-away hair once it's clean, which is a product of dryness. Scent I'm questioning the fragrance free idea as it definitely has a scent to it when I pour some out... somewhat medicinal like Selsum Blue.

Mildly fragranced shampoo works well for my kids.

When I look for a shampoo for my kids, it is important to consider the ingredients.  I chose Suave Free and Gentle because it did not have artificial dyes added.  My son has very sensitive skin that reacts to dyes with a rash, and this shampoo works fine for him.  It also works well for my daughters, who are less sensitive, but have hair prone to tangling.  While I prefer the natural approach, I liked that they kept a fragrance as part of the ingredients.  The smell is very light and refreshing.  It does seem that I have to shampoo my daughters' hair a little more often because the fragrance and strength of the shampoo is so mild.  But I would rather not by separate shampoos for each child.  I have used several of the regular Suave Kids products and been happy with them, but because of skin issues, I will be sticking with the free and gentle version from now on.  The price is right too, which is an important factor for me.

Best kids shampoo - and inexpensive too!

My daughter saw this on the shelf and asked if we could buy it. We were about out of shampoo for her, so I said sure, and I'm so glad I did! She is very fussy about having her hair brushed, and this shampoon not only smells wonderful, but it took every tangle out of her hair.
