The Stihl HS45 Hedge Trimmer is one trimmer that won't let you down. I've been using one for ten years and will probably be using it for another ten. It always starts easy, is relatively light weight, and tackles brush and branches up to an inch in thickness with ease. I've used this piece of equipment for my own yard as well as for commercial landscaping jobs and have never felt the need to upgrade to anything else. Its easy to maneuver at any angle and even more efficient than you would expect for a hedge trimmer. The old saying "you get what you pay for" simply does not apply to this machine. You get far more than you pay for! I've been using Stihl products for over 20 years and have never been disappointed in any of them. I put them all through a rigorous workout on a regular basis in the yard and field, and honestly feel there is no other brand on the market that can stand up to Stihl products. I think some companies build products that only seem to last so long, hoping you'll buy another of their products as a replacement. But when it comes to the Stihl HS45 of any of Stihl's other products, the machine may very well out live its user!

My experience with the Stihl HS 45 hedge trimmer has been very satisfying and has met all of my expectations relative to durability, handling, and reliability.  It has never failed to start and has never given me any mechanical problems since purchasing it approximately two years ago. I recently started my own landscaping business in which I perform all of the work.  As a result, I cannot afford to have my equipment and/or tools breaking down and not being available to me.  Therefore, the aforementioned qualities are of absolute and paramount importance to me. This hedge trimmer is used on a frequent basis and continues to perform at a high level without any sort of failure.  I have owned other hedge trimmers - including electric models - that have either incurred mechanical problems, or have completely stopped working.  Trimming bushes has become a much easier task to perform, and I might add, a more efficient and effective way.  Thus far, my customers gave been very complimentary and extremely satisfied with my work.  I owe part of the credit to the Stihl HS 45 hedge trimmer and of course, my efforts to please.  If or when I am in the market to purchase another hedge trimmer, this brand will get my first consideration.
