Very Good Service

I am very impressed with Sprint Cell service. I have tried two other cell companies and overall Sprint has the best coverage!

The one percent

I've had sprint forever, it's great with no limits on my service that I use.... However they advertise that only one percent can't get service in their area.... Except we seem to anyways be in the area where we have no service.

Sprint is the worst cell service by far you only lease the phone never actually own it like AT&T customer service rep always has an attitude Same when you go into the store very unprofessional staff rolling eyes at you acting like it's a problem that they have to do anything!

The Bad- I had a ton of issues with the 2 for 1 lease plan. I was misinformed completely what the plan was and how it works. Long story short I wanted to buy new phones, pay them off, and then own them and just pay for the service. Unfortunately several key points Spring doesn't seem to want to inform you. 1- You only pay for 70% of the phone and then need to pay off 30% after the 18 months is up. 2- In select states you CANNOT buy out the phone after the 18 months do to law. MAKE SURE YOU PAY YOUR PHONE OFF BEFORE THE LEASE ENDS or Sprint forces you to rent and not be able to own. 3- The biggest flaw with this plan is you need to VERBALLY let them know you want to buy out or upgrade or etc. Otherwise they DEFAULT you to rent forever which means they could make double what the phone is worth if you don't pay attention and continue paying it. Very shady business practice. 4- Lastly they claimed they sent out 1 email but couldn't tell me when to inform me of these important facts 1 month before my 18 months was up. No phone call or text or paper letter nothing just 1 alleged email that I never received. The Good- I went into the store at the Albany, NY Crossgates Location and spoke with their Manager Carrie Gamello. She was amazing at understanding the issues at hand, taking fault in the errors that Sprint's employees caused in the store when I originally bought the phone getting the wrong info, and also on the phone with rude customer support. She also did what she could to fix the problem for me which she did effectively fix it. Lastly she listened to my experience of what went wrong so she could not only let her staff know but when they have meetings let the higher ups know. Being a customer service rep for almost 10 years myself she was one of the best reps I've ever worked with or encountered. I never leave reviews but due to the way she handled the situation I felt the need to. Sprint should be happy they have people like this to cover for their shadiness.

Horrible company

I hate the phone carrier. The customer service is terrible and when you try to contact anyone in regards to your service you get absolutely no where.

Definitely a cheaper alternative!

I have been with sprint for a little over a year. They are so much cheaper than Verizon or At&T when you consider their flex phone upgrade plan. I paid $0 to upgrade after a year! I live in a very rural area so service is spotty sometimes and then fantastic in others. Their cheap phone plans is what drew my family in and what is keeping us around. I just wish that their service was compatible with the Samsung video share application that comes with the Samsung phones.

I've been with sprint for 13 years. I've had great experiences. in the beginning. Free upgrades not having to resign a contract so I could leave if I wanted. Whenever I had an issue they would cut my bill or add minutes or something else. For the first 8 to 9 years they were always nice and helpful when we called. Then the service changed. They changed how they did upgrades, how they approached you when you called about complaints and didn't offer anything when things were not going right with your service and or your phone. This year when I tried to upgrade they told me I didn't have the right plan. It was my fault even though the plan didn't exist when I got my last phone. In order to upgrade I need to buy out my phone $200. Or pay to get it fixed just under $200. I guess Ill use it busted until its paid off. Why do I have insurance if it doesn't cover damage? Good question that sprint couldn't answer. I have tried other carriers and for the plan I have and the amount of service we have we would pay 3 times as much as we pay now.. We are stuck!

What a shame

1

A couple years ago I took the 30 day challenge the dropped calls and no service forced me back to my previous service . In 3 days . The promotional was the first 30 days and they'd switch you back at no charge . Well that was not the case they demanded over 100 dollars when I saiid no they reported me to the credit agency costing me precious points on my credit. Now the damage is done so this unscrupulous company will still not get a dime from me . So if you see sprint and something free run !!M

Why?

2

Why doesn't Sprint take care of their loyal customers??? If I was a new customer, I could get 2-4 free phones and spend 125 bucks a month for 4 lines, no fees and so on. If you are a customer over a year, then they price gauge you until you are basically paying a car payment for cell service. The only reason for the 2 stars, is the decent coverage. Not the best coverage but decent.

Too expensive

I was with Sprint a few years ago after I was done with T-Mobile. I wish i stayed with T-Mobile because Sprint is awful. They reeled me in with some deal, i really don't remember because it's been so long and i hate sprint. I was paying $150 for 1 cell phone, they told me at first my bill would be about the same as what I had with Tmobile. Wrong. I was late on my bill cause I couldn't afford $150. i eventually just left with Sprint and went with AT&T. I'm paying $88.88 for 12 GB and unlimited text/calls, that includes my discount from work.
