This gave me terrible acne. I started using biotin to help my hair grow and improve the texture of my skin. After the first week of use, I noticed I was getting an acne breakout. I did not connect it to the biotin until the acne was so severe that I had to see my dermatologist. He told me that it was the biotin causing it. If you are one of those who can take this pill, I'm sure it will be great for you but be aware that if you suddenly break out it is connected to these pills.

I had originally started using a multi vitamin to keep my hair, skin, and nails looking and feeling good. After getting terrible stomach aches from the multi vitamins, I decided give Biotin a try on it's own as I had heard good things about it and was really only looking for something to help with the condition of my hair. I went to my local drugstore and picked up Spring Valley Biotin because, to be honest, it was in sale and cheaper than the store brand! I gave it a try for a little over a month before I weighed how well it was working for me. My original multi vitamin only had about half the amount of biotin in it. My hair grew in extremely shiny, felt a bit thicker and I noticed grew about 1/4 inch more than with the lower dose multis. The only negative I can say is that I noticed with the higher dose of biotin, my skin would get more breakouts, not sure if this has to do with the dosage or the brand.

Spring Valley Vitamins had come highly recommended to me by my pharmacist. Usually I think that looking for vitamins can be overwhelming. I wanted a vitamin to help me with hair growth. I also inquired with my hair stylist, for an additional professional opinion. I usually donate my hair to Locks of Love, which is usually 10-12 inches per cut. I cut my hair 3 months ago, and with taking one biotin per day, my hair has grown 3.5 inches. This may not sound like a lot, however, having 12 inches cut off your hair, 3.5 inches is a great deal! The vitamin itself is a very small, soft gel capsule. Spring Valley brand Biotin capsules are very easy to swallow and have no after taste, or "burp up taste" like some vitamins I have used in the past. My stylist also told me that some of her clients have had issues with hair growth all over, such as facial hair. I personally have not had this problem, but I was warned to keep an eye out for it.

My cousin recommended I take biotin around 2 months ago because I had been losing, way too much for my age. I started taking it last month and have noticed that my hair is thicker, growing faster, my acne is clearing, and that my nails are stronger. I am a person who has to have perfect nails 24/7 so I'm happy that this helps my nails as well. They don't seem to be affected by the acetone I use once or twice a week too much. My hair used to fall out in big blobs when I showered and combed my hair and that has significantly dropped. I now only have a few strands pull out. It is very easy to take due to it's small size which is nice because I can't take large pills. It says to take it with food and I have heard that it boosts your metabolism so I take it in the morning so that it breaks down the food I take all day, not just my dinner. Overall I think that biotin really does work. Some people told me I won't see results for the first 3 months but that was not the case.

I was having major problems with my hair falling out. I was told by my doctor to take biotin. I went to the pharmacy and purchased Spring Valley Biotin 5000 mcg. I began taking one pill a day. I take it after right after breakfast each day. Although the label warns about some side effects, I haven't had a problem with any. Luckily I didn't experience any type of bad side effect from it. After using it for a few months, I noticed that my hair is relatively longer. It is actually stronger as well. Before taking Spring Valley Biotin 5000 mcg, I just didn't believe that a vitamin in pill form can ever hep with the problems I was having with my hair. I was very wrong about that, and not only my hair, but my nails are much stronger as well. I noticed that my nails aren't breaking so much any more, and I was able to grow them to the length I wanted. I must say, taking one pill a day of Spring Valley Biotin 5000 mcg has helped me greatly, and I do believe it will help anyone else. I definitely recommend it to all.

This Spring Valley Biotin supplement is wonderful! It really does help your hair and nails grow longer, stronger, and much healthier. I would definitely recommend this product as quite a helpful supplement. I am like a lot of women that have hair that is thinning as I get older and my nails have never been very strong and they always broke easily,so discovering this product was really awesome for me. I have sure noticed a huge difference in the texture and growth in both my hair and my fingernails. I think this Spring Valley Biotin 5000 mcg is absolutely amazing and life changing, at least in my case I feel that it's life changing. I have five children and after having my fourth child, my hair thinned after giving birth, just like with every other pregnancy preceding. But with baby number four, my hair didn't bounce back. So you can only imagine how much worse it got after baby number five. I was so depressed and down on myself. I have always been known for my long, naturally curly hair that is thick and full of life. I would have to do basically nothing but brush it and would receive compliments every where I go. But then it thinned to at least half of the thickness it previously was, which made my hair look flat and lifeless. The curls turned into waves and I didn't like it. So after reading some great reviews about this Spring Valley Biotin 5000 mcg, I decided to give it a try. I have been this takin supplement for 3 months. Although I was really skeptical about the claims, my hairdresser recommended it when my hair started thinning. After a couple months of taking it I have noticed a huge difference in the strength of my nails. My hair is also shinier and possibly thicker. I notice that my nails don't break as easily as they used to. I work with horses and doing barn chores regularly, yet my nails are long and strong. They are no longer brittle, and can stand up to at the abuse I put them through. My hair is growing faster, and seems to be growing thicker.
