Doesn't Work

Product doesn't work. I was told I had low iron and started taking it but it didn't change the fact that the doctor told me my iron is still low.

Helps a lot

About two years ago after I had blood work done I found out my iron was very low, and I needed to get more iron in me, which would explain why I was always so tired and weak. I always saw the brand Spring Valley in the store and have seen a lot of people taking supplements by them. I know I needed to start taking the iron ASAP, so when I was in my local drugstore I picked this up just to take for now and would look for a really good iron supplement, I took the dosage recommended by the doctor and and a little while after I could feel a difference in my body. I still took the time to look around at different brands, and in the end I still continue to buy Spring Valley. I love how inexpensive it is, so it definitely doesn't break the bank. I wish I would've started taking iron sooner because it helps me so much now, I've noticed a big difference when it comes to that time of the month. Anyone with low iron I definitely recommend this!

Nice Antidote for Anemia

As someone who has suffered with anemia for much of my life, iron supplementation is a necessary thing. The problem that I have found with trying to get my iron needs met, is that it can cause an upset stomach if you take it without enough food. On the other hand, if you take it with the wrong food, like dairy products, for instance, you can keep the iron from absorbing properly. Then there is the issue of dosage. Not enough iron leaves you weak, and too much can be deadly. As you can see, supplementing iron isn't for the person who doesn't want to do some research. After much time spent consulting my doctor, and sites like Web. MD, etc. I figured out the proper dosage. I like Spring Valley 65 mg. Iron Supplements because they are the right dose for me. They are mild enough to keep myself far from toxicity, yet effective enough to keep me from looking like a ghost who's on the verge of passing out. Furthermore, if I did need a higher dose, I would simply take more of them, throughout the day. I just want to say that if you think you need iron supplementation, please check with your doctor first. If you do need it, Spring Valley is a good way to go.

Make sure you have enough

Spring Valley iron supplements are a great way for those who do not have enough iron in their systems to supplement their diet. A lack of iron in the body can cause a low energy level and also a low amount of red blood cells to be made. This is termed anemia, and in some cases can be corrected through iron supplementation. Nowadays many multi vitamins do not contain iron in order to prevent overdoses and heavy metal toxicity, so it is important to consult your doctor about the supplements you are currently taking and to plan accordingly based upon the ingredients lists. These pills are a great addition to a non iron containing multivitamin. Special care has to be taken when dosing with these pills, as too much iron in the diet can cause some serious health issues and even lead to heavy metal toxicity. Taking these under doctor supervision and in conjunction with a healthy and balanced diet is a great method to stay healthy.

Putting Some Spring In My Step With This Iron Pill

I have had my blood work and my Iron level was extemely low. The Doctor recommends an OTC Iron Supplement, so at the local Drugstore, my pharmasist suggested this brand. I have had no problems with it. It is 65 milligrams which are equavalent to 325 milligrams. These particular ones are 100 tablets in a bottle and are reasonably priced. These I need to take twice a day per recomendations of my Doctor. These have a yellow screw on/off cap which is a child safety cap. They are a small, round tablet which is easier to swallow. I would recommend these to anyone who may be experiencing a drop in their Iron levels. Update: I still continue to take these to maintain my Iron levels as recommended to me from my Doctor. A list on the back of the bottle shows these are the ingredients which follows: Ingredients: Ferrous Sulfate, Cellulose Gel, Calcium Carbonate, Croscarmellose Sodium, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Magnesium Sterate and Polyethelyne Glycol. These are manufactured by Pharmavite LLC., in Mission Hills, California. * Made in the USA.* ** These iron tablets are not evaluated by the Food and Drug Company.**
