I have been a Sony user for a long while.I absolutely LOVE my Sony Vaio that I purchased at the Navy Exchange. Never have I had a problem from this notebook that wasn't my own doing.The picture quality is wonderful,the memory capacity is phenomenal as well.I use this notebook for all of my work,including my blogging and photography editing.It works like a charm ! I will be updating to another brand of computer later next year,but that it because my digital darkroom demands it,I highly recommend the Sony Vaio for anyone looking for a new notebook,especially for college students . Battery Life SometimesI have I problem with the battery life,but there are power saving options to choose from. Support & Service It almost rivals Apple customer service

I purchased the VGN-NR430E a while back after my last laptop got struck by lightning. I needed something to edit my photography on and found this laptop did the job. It starts up in about 30 seconds from shutdown and has four USB ports for bluetooth, camera cords, or whatever you need to plug in. It also has a CD/DVD drive that is great for watching movies or writing CD's. I run Windows 7 on it and have never had a problem with it running slow or running out of RAM, even with running Family Tree Maker or Photoshop Elements 10. If you are looking for a notebook computer that will last you awhile, this computer has proven to me that it will. I still use it to this day.
