These little guys pack a punch.

I've had these earbuds for five years now, and they've had no signs of wear. I've had older headphones, such as the wrap around the head kind, because I just didn't like the way earbuds felt in my ears (especially the ones that come with iPods, they'd always fall out). However I got these because I simply love Sony, and thought I'd give them a chance. And I'm not let down. These guys stay in my ears perfectly, and cancel out any background noise that could be there. The in-line volume control is perfect because it gets as high or as low as whatever you have it plugged into would go. As I said I've had these for five years, and they still work perfectly. A lot of times with headphones and earbuds you'll have one give out because of the wires messing up in the cords, but these have never given out on me. Also, the bass is stupendous. I'd highly recommend these headphones to anybody.

Sony is probably #1 in earbuds

I purchased an amplifier for my Mother and the Sony earbuds to go with it. Eventhough earbuds come with the amplifier, the Sony earbuds are a much better quality. The Sony earbuds have a deep and full sounding bass and a volume control which allows you to control your volume without taking out your amplifier from where you are carring it. You can also control the length of the cord. They come with three sizes, small, medium and large so you can try the size that will fit your ear. They are more comfortable that the hard earbuds that come with most amplifiers. These earbuds are suppose to be good for ipods and listening to music but my Mother only uses them to listen to conversations with small groups. I do recommend purchasing separate earbuds when you buy amplifiers.

Unbelievably comfortable, great sound

I have small ears and have always had a tough time finding in-ear headphones that didn't fall out or make my ears hurt.  When I bought an iPod, I couldn't use the Apple earbuds that came with it, and since I walk and run a lot, I needed comfortable, secure headphones.  These Sonys are great for people on a budget who want comfort and good sound quality.  They come with 3 different sizes of silicone-type earbuds (I use the medium set, and I think the small ones would be small enough even for a child). These stay perfectly in place even when I'm running and are completely comfortable.  One of my favorite features is the volume control dial that's right on the cord -- I wasn't sure how much I'd use it but I find it so convenient now ... no need to reach onto my armband to turn up the volume on my iPod. The sound is clear and has nice, rich bass and midtones.  Some users complain about noise coming through if the cord is jostled with any in-ear headphones, especially Skullcandys, but I don't notice that very often with these.  One of the other features I like (and a major factor in my choosing these over Skullcandy Ink'd or Smokin' Buds) is the L-shaped plug.  A straight plug seems like it would get in the way and be more likely to get bent or damaged with use.
