I bought this new cell phone in May 2007 to replace a Nokia one.  It's an open and shut cell phone.  This new cell phone looks good and works well, however I'm a little concerned about the flexibility of the phone being as its an open and close one, already the hinges on the sides of phone are getting a little wobbly.  Also, the buttons on the cell phone are becoming a little loose.   The cell phone works well and the reception is very good.  It allows you to use the internet and also has a cam(1.3 mega pixel) and video feature.  The pictures come out well however, you need to make sure the phone is really focused when taking pictures.  The video works well and you can take up to 3 mins of video at one time. You can transfer your cam and video to your computer and the program comes on a CD with the cell phone.  You can also download different ring tones, themes, backgrounds, music from the Sony Ericsson website and the options available are good.  The memory on the cell phone is 20MG which seems like a lot however, if you going to use it for listening to music and taking lots of pics/videos then you need to get more memory.  You can download music from your computer through a program that is on the CD provided with phone.  It's easy to do.  A really cool thing I like is being able to use your cam pictures to identify when a person is calling.  You can also use different ring tones for each user or keep the same tone for all.  Also, every caller can have their individual ring.  It has a calendar alarm and also a NOTE section and TASK section.  With the task section you can write things you need to do and either set to remind you or not.  The alarm can be set for one time or for a recurrent time, which I think, is good.  The alarm is a little on the low side so if you're a heavy sleeper you may need to use your regular alarm as well.  There's an option on the cell phone where you can record the conversation you're currently having.  This is good for all the couples out there who argue over who said or didn't say what and when! J The phone comes with three different games, Puzzle Slider, 21, and Quadra Pop.  They're all fun, easy and addicting games.  With the puzzle slider you can use pictures that they provide or you can use them from pictures you've taken with the cam.  Playing these games can wear down the battery quickly, just keep that in mind. There's so much fun and cool stuff with this cell phone.  I'm still finding out new things all the time.  If you want a good looking phone that's not too expensive and is really easy to use, this would be a good one for you.

This is a great phone for this price range.  It has a mostly metal outer shell that greatly aids with durability.  Mine has been dropped many times.  It has a few nicks and scratches, but it works perfectly!  It was easy to personalize, and it is very easy to access the desired function from the menu.  Of the more than a dozen phones I've owned over the past couple of years, this one is definitely my favorite.

I am reviewing the Sony Erricson W550 cellphone.  I had this phone for a year because getting a newer model. I really liked how "cool" it looked. The color orange was also a nice and bright touch. It is a slide phone. I like slide phones because they protect the keys. (I used to have text messages sent by accident). The bar at the top also makes it easy to hand off the neck. It has a big screen and has a camera. It also has a mp3 player and quality games. The ear bubs are great. It comes with three sets of ear buds (big, medium, and small) to suit everyone's ears. The sound qulity is very good as well. In addition, you have both ears's earbuds not just one ear like some other cellphones.The keys are also a good size but might pose a problem to someone with big fingers. What I don't like about this phone is how big and heavy it was. I carry a small purse so it would take up half the space. The newer models now are much slimmer. Overall it is a very easy to use phone with great applications.

I just bought this phone against all my friends' recommendations to go for a Nokia. Personally, I don't like Nokia phones, because of there sluggishness. On the first look, I liked this model. It had all the features that I was looking for. The only point on which I could have decided not to buy this one, was it's key pad. The keys are very small, and they were definitely, a little uncomfortable for a few days. But, after that, I got used to them. This little phone has a great user interface, very easy to use, and great features. Cybershot takes great pictures as well, and it has a flash too. I would strongly recommend this phone to everyone.

This is a great cell phone.  My favorite part is the pedometer.  Being I usually have my phone in my pocket, it is now easy for me to know how much I have walked through the day.  You can look back a few weeks and see what your average is and everything.  There is also a fitness part to it that can help converts the amount you have walked into the calories you have burned. The sound is great.  I can hear whoever I am talking with just fine.  I also only have to have the ringtone up a little to hear it.  I would definitely recommend this cellphone to others.

This phone and i has been threw alot! from drops to rain it still works! just have to take the battery out for a few days so it can dry... This sound on this phone is fantastic! It has a camera, video, built in radio, place for a memory card  It also has a sound recorder. you can connect earphones to it as well to listen to the mp3 player and  listen to the FM radion. though you dont have to have ear phone to use this function! The pedometer records all your daily steps while you have the phone in your pocket. and  stop watch, calendar, calculator, alarm.  It came with a connectivity cable so you can connect to a computer and upload songs as well! The camera is great and takes good motion shots as well... though i have had to replace this phone 2 times because the key pad is really thin... i think they have updated that though!... wow i wish i still had my phone! it dont survive being ran over... :(

The phone was chosen for me by my daughter and she could not have made a better choice. This phone has a camera and video. It also has a sound recorder. All have been useful in capturing moments with my little ones. The phone also has an mp3 player and you can listen to the FM radion on it. This phone has a benefit for those who are looking to increase thier daily activity by using the included pedometer. The phone includes other useful options such as alarms, a place to list tasks and set reminders. A stop watch, calendar, calculator. I recommend the sony walkman for the variety of options it includes. I also think it is a durable phone as mine has survived longer than any cell phone has with me. It is easy transfer from phone to computer with the included connectivity cable. Also you can increase storage space by buying a memory card. It takes the M2 memory type cards. I would recommend Screen protectors.
