I bought the Sony cybershot w-70 looking to replace the one I had because it didn't meet any expectations. When I went to my local retailer I had come across this one and it looked like a nice digital camera, the price was not bad at all and I liked the thinner smaller look it had to it. I also liked the larger screen it had compared to my older one. I decided to buy it after looking at others and seen the features that came on the camera and it seemed like a good deal. As soon as it was charged up which was not long, I took a few pictures, just basic ones to get the feel of the camera. The first problem I noticed was the indoor/outdoor lighting problem. It doesn't have an automatic switch like my other camera did and when I tried to switch the flash to indoor mode even though I eventually got it, it did take me a few minutes to figure out how to do it because hitting one button led me to something different that would be more confusing and it wasn't just a simple switch. Once I got the hang of the camera I did also notice the lag time when trying to take pictures of my kids running or jumping up. Most of them did come out blurry with a few that I lucked out on. When you do get the hang of it and figure out all the options, it's not a bad camera, but I don't think it's anything special compared to what's out there. For the price if you just want something basic, try it. I don't use it anymore as I have a new one, but I don't think I would buy it again.
It's a good and practical product really and I would recommend everyone buy it
I have had a couple of Sony Cybershot cameras over the past few years so when my last one broke, I bought another and bought the Sony Cybershot W70. It was affordable and within my budget. I take a lot of photos of items that have to go online as well as tons of photographs of my children and grandchildren and no matter what, I am never disappointed with the quality of the photographs. I have had the Sony Cyber-shot for several years now and I love the quality and durability of it. The focus is great whether or not it is a close up shot or a distance shot it never comes out blurry or fuzzy. The image quality is exceptional for this camera. It is simple to use but has several settings that I have not tried yet. I usually leave it on the basic settings and get great photos. It is very durable and I take it everywhere and it gets a lot of wear and tear and still holds up great. It has a lithium battery and it has lasted a really long time. I recommend this camera to anyone looking for a nice compact digital camera that really performs.

This was just not the camera for me, so after opening it and trying it out, I had to return it. The picture quality was just not up to par with the level of photos I like to take. The photos always turned out somewhat pixelated no matter the setting, light, or subject. I also had a hard time figuring out how to surf the menu. Usually I am very technology saavy and can easily learn how to use each device, but this just has a poor interface. I also felt that for its size, this camera was a little on the heavy side. It also had a weird distribution of weight with one side being much heavier than the other causing it to balance improperly when left on either a table or say a tripod. This camera was just not worth the money for me so I returned it to purchase a better quality camera. Image Quality The poor image quality is the main reason I returned this camera after using it for a short period of time. Ease of Use Poor menu design and ease of use were also a downfall of this camera. Durability I cannot really speak for durability since I only owned this camera for a few short weeks.
Out of all of the cameras in the store I shopped, this one stood out the most to me. I really have a lot f confidence in Sony products as I have a lot of them in my home already. It wouldn't be a stretch to say the brand would be considered my go to most of the time. At the time - the camera had already been on the market for about 7 years so I was luckily able to purchase it at a remarkable price. It's size and thickness was perfect for me. It's small and slim and can easily be slipped into a pocket. It didn't come with a case but it was incredibly easy to find one. It's silver finish seems to up the overall value of it too. It's pretty durable because it has hit the floor once or twice and amazingly didn't break. It's flexible nature is what I enjoy the most. It works well in good or bad lighting. It have very reliably and consistently delivered excellent picture quality. I wouldn't say professional quality but, it's still quite impressive non the less. You will of course have to figure out how to utilize the flash, it's a bit tricky at first but the easy turn button on the upper back is where most of the controlling and operations take place. It's a good camera for capturing memories but I wouldn't say it's for the professional - which they would probably know anyway.
This camera is small enough to carry in your pocket but really produces high quality photos. It is easy to use and easy to upload photos to a computer! There are not a lot of options, but the ones available are certainly more than effective for "everyday" use!
Overall, Sony's Cybershot camera is a powerful camera that gives stunning pictures and videos. It has many admirable qualities and the price is pretty good for the quality you receive. The only complaint is that the design is weak compared to the strong interior design Image Quality Great quality! Whether is be light or dark outside, you can almost always get a clear, HD picture from this camera. It has many different modes to help you take pictures in different situations or time of day. Performance Never had any problems with the camera, except for the occasional lag where it would take a while for the flash to snap a picture after pressing the button Ease of Use Very easy to use, simple to understand Durability It's lightweight and feels like it could break into pieces if you don't take extremely good care of it. Battery Life Decent battery life whether it be video or pictures. However, videos will take a lot of memory. Portability Very easy to take along with you to any destination.
I have bought and used several digital cameras in the last few years as I use them in my work and for family photo use. I have tried many other cameras both before and after purchasing this one but I seem to always return to this one for ease of use and dependability. The zoom feature is one of the best I have found on any of the cameras I have. I am constantly in search of new cameras with new features and uses. In the past few years I have bought and been given no less than twenty cameras. Even with the many cameras I have, I still tend to use this one most often. My only real complaint with the unit is that it drains batteries fairly quickly. I have to assume this is due to the fact it is one of my older units, so maybe it just wasn't designed for battery efficiency. I will probably keep this camera and use it until it absolutely stops functioning, then and only then will I replace it totally from my camera line up. i would highly recommend this camera to anyone seeking a digital camera for home or work use.
I recently receieved this camera as a gift and I really can say this is by far the best digital camera I have ever used. It is amazing. After reading about how to use it, I became obsessed. I took like over fifty pictures of just nothing sometimes. It has so many different features and settings, but it's easy to use and extremely durable. I took pictures at a recent birthday party we had and I was able to use the three times zoom feature and get a perfectly clear action picture. All of my pictures come out beautiful and has a huge amount of storage space so you don't have to immediately print them out or put them on your computer. Also is has a nice screen that is also an LCD screen so you can see accurately what you're shooting. It's great inside and outside and automatically switches to daytime mode when you're outside so you don't have to do it manually. I'm so glad I received this and am extremely happy with it.
