I have used a LOT of mascaras over the years and I find something wrong with each one... too sticky, wonky brush, applies unevenly, etc. but this Smashbox mascara is the BEST! It dries very fast and applies evenly with great dark color. I don't think I'll ever look back, even though it is sometimes pricey for my range. The brush is the best part; it's a good size and doesn't retain old clumps of mascara product when you pull it out next time.

Smashbox offers a great line of makeup. I have been a loyal customer for years. I spend most of my money on their all-inclusive kits. The kits allow me to try all of the products that the brand creates. Unfortunately, the line falls short on its mascara. I specifically dislike the Bionic Mascara. On a daily basis, I do not wear a lot of makeup. I strive to merely enhance my natural appearance. However, I like to wear mascara every day. Specifically, I like mascara that is black, the natural color of my hair. The jet black color of this mascara is great. It is a rich, vibrant black. Nonetheless, the mascara fails to lengthen my lashes very well. In addition, I often have to apply a lot of the product to get any positive results. Because of the excessive product, I often experience clumps. Overall, I never achieve a sexy, smooth look with this mascara. This is disappointing, especially for such an expensive product. The bottom line: Invest in Smashbox's products...just not the Bionic Mascara.

I did not really care for Smashbox Bionic Mascara.  As a girl with blonde lashes, I have tried a host of different mascaras in the search to find one that is perfect for making my eyelashes visible.  I generally love Smashbox products and find that they serve their purpose very well, so I was excited to try this mascara.  I thought just maybe it would be the one; unfortunately, it wasn't.  I think maybe I just didn't like the shape of the brush.  It did not do a good job of coating my lashes easily.  Also, it was a tad clumpy.  Another thing I did not like was that throughout the day, it slowly transfered itself to my undereye area and made me look as if I had dark circles under my eyes.  I though that maybe if it transfered so easily from my lashes to my face that at least it would be easy to rinse off at the end of the day, but this was not the case either.  It was tough to scrub off.  While I love Smashbox for just about everything, I think I will steer away from the Bionic Mascara unless they change the wand design.

This is very wonderful mascara. It goes on so easily and the black is nice and dark. The mascara drys fast but stays on for a long time. It also lasts quite a while too. I've been using the same mascara for at least two months now and i still have enough in there to last me another month or two. I love smashbox. I own a couple mascaras and eye shadows from smashbox and they're amazing. :]

To start off, the cons: The liquid of this mascara is so sticky that I have to be extra careful when I apply it. It feels a bit heavy and when I open and close my eyes and upper and lower lashes, they sometimes sticks together making me open my eyes all the time. But the good thing about this mascara is that it has good longevity. I don't have to apply it again as it stays up to 8 hours. No retouching is necessary after a whole day. It also instantly enhances and lengthens lashes. And it's easy to remove, no hard scrubbing, easily washes off with soap and watre and I did not experience any itchiness or allergic reaction around my eyes. Overall, adds a lot of volume and provides a lot of staying power, but on the downside: sticky and a bit heavy on the lashes.

I am a new consumer to smashbox makeup but have to say I am slowly becoming more and more of a fan. I love the fact that the website offers free shipping all the time on any order. Plus if you sign up with them you get jumbo samples when you place an order and if you order on tuesdays on thursdays before 2pm you get a free product. So it is amazing the kinda stuff you can get and really not have to pay a ton, they also have a great sale section called curtain call and you can find great deals there. So I got the bionic mascara in a bronze color and I like it but with my complection I need a darker color. The mascara does go on very nicely, it also has very full bristles which I really like too. I didn't feel like it got clumpy and the color was original I haven't tried a bronze color before it is very pretty because it has kind of a goldish shimmer to it. Overall I am happy with it I just will get a darker color next time.

Trust me, I have tried many, many ,mascaras and Smashbox's Bionic is one of the best if you're looking for any of the following attributes in a mascara:  it doesn't dry hard; lashes remain soft; doesn't flake; if you want to add more later on in the day, it's buildable.  It comes in black and indigo (the indigo is beautiful-makes the whites of your eyes look whiter).  It also has a nice brush-not to big, not too small.  It has a long life too, where other mascaras I have tried seem to try out in a month or so.
