Awesome sewing machine, so many great features.

This is my first sewing machine of my own. My husband surprised me with it at Christmas. I had taken a sewing class in school, and enjoyed it a lot. Never had a sewing machine growing up and when I mentioned wanting to sew again, it was only a matter of time til I got my own machine. I have loved every minute of using this machine. At first when I saw all the different features I felt overwhelmed, and feared I would surely mess something up. The instruction manual that came with this is very clearly written and so far any little "mess" I got myself into has been very easy to figure out. Stitch Performance Stitches are nice and uniform, also has a good number of different stitch options, including quite a few decorative stitches that make sewing projects look even prettier. Ease of Use Very easy to follow the instructions given to use and set up (and this is coming from a very inexperience and fairly new sewer). Fabric Handling This is good also, feeds fabric through nicely and at a good rate. I think there is also a setting that you can slow down or speed up how fast the fabric is fed through (although so far I have not need to adjust this). Design I really like the look of this sewing machine. It almost has a classic/antique look to it in my opinion, plus I like the black color rather than the typical white/cream. Durability As far as I can tell this will be durable (I have only had it for about 5 months). I have had no problems with this so far, and have even taken it away with me (not in a box).

Absolutely LOVE this sewing machine!

This is actually my first sewing machine of my own. I always grew up using nice quality Singer sewing machines on little projects here and there and to fix easy hems, etc on my clothes. Once I moved out on my own I always just brought sewing projects to my parent's house to use their sewing machines because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on my own. But, I finally decided it was time to get one of my very own since I started sewing more. Since I'm not a huge sewer I don't have a whole lot to compare this to, but, I do have to say that I absolutely love this sewing machine! I love the style and design of it especially! I always liked how vintage sewing machines look and honestly I think the normal white bulky sewing machines now a days are ugly so I hated the idea of having a bug hunky white machine sitting on my desk not matching anything. But then, I found this! It is black and gold and made to look like a vintage machine, sleek and perfect. It is a lot more expensive than I wanted to spend (I was planning on buy just a cheapy machine) but it was 500% worth the price. I've only had it a few months but I already know that it will last for years with how wonderfully it handles. Stitch Performance It works very smoothly, plus I love that it has an entire array of stitch designs! It can even stitch some of the fancier designs like flowers, vines, etc. Ease of Use It is very easy to use, it has a self threader to thread the needle also which is great. Fabric Handling One of the bonuses is that the base is wide and long making it easier to sew bulker items. Plus, the whole side of the base is detachable so you can easily fix hems in pants, etc by wrapping the leg whole around where it stitches.
