I chose my Simmons Valencia Crib because it was a nice looking bed and it converts to the toddler size and full size bed.  The price was decent and comparable to others in this category.  It is black with red undertone.  When we unpacked it, we noticed the toddler rails have to be purchased seperately as well as the full size rails.  I know all the rest of the cribs require you to purchase the full size rails separate, but usually they come with the toddler rails.  After using this crib for about three months, the paint started chipping off where our belts were rubbing, just from normal everyday use of picking up our baby and putting her down.  The customer service was good, I had to send them a picture of the crib and the damage and they sent me a new footboard, we put it in the attic to use for when we change it to a full size bed.  It has gotten worse over time, but it is still a nice bed and looks good in the room.
