This is the best folding pruning saw I have used. I have to put in that caveat, because there are some drawbacks to folding saws. They tend to be shorter than regular saws, which leads in turn to two negatives. First, it means shorter stokes, which in turn means more strokes, and that's more work. Second, if you are used to a longer stroke, you will pull this saw out of the cut on the backstroke resulting in embarrassment and possibly a broken blade tip when you switch to the push stroke before you realize you're out of the kerf. The other thing that can happen when you jam the blade tip, is that the mechanism the locks the blade open can get pushed back and break (this also happens frequently when you use the saw as a hammer or pry bar, but you wouldn't do that, would you?) Those problems aside, I love this thing. A folding saw is handy to have around (I can't be toting my big 'ol straight saw everywhere, but this fits neatly in a cargo pocket so I can carry it around with me) and this is probably the best one out there..
