I will admit, I was a little leary trying Silk Vanilla Soy Yogurt for the first time. However, I should have tried it sooner, it was amazing! This is perfect for vegetarians, lactose intolerant people or just anyone who wants the taste and goodness of yogurt without the added cholesterol and animal hormones. The yogurt is smooth, creamy and tastes of real vanilla. This is amazing plain, with a slice banana, sprinkled with cinnamon or added into a smoothie with fruit and ice. Silk is still high in protein (9 grams) and a good source of calcium, so you are not missing any of the nutritional value you get from "milk made" yogurt. Do not be afraid to try Silk Vanilla Soy Yogurt, you will love the taste, texture and nutritional benefits!
Delicious, healthy, and portable!
I am trying to live healthier, so that means less ice cream and more healthy snacks! My skin allergies worsen when I consume dairy products, but I do well with soy milk. Loving Silk, it didn't surprise me that the vanilla flavored yogurt tastes so very good. You can eat it by itself or mix it with chopped fruits. You can even mix it with your morning coffee as a sort of creamer. The consistency is very thick, but there are multiple uses for this item. It also comes in a small container so it can fit in your lunch tote easily, as well as your work fridge.
While the product is an apparent snacking alternative for those with casein and gluten sensitivities, it's a great source of calcium and Vitamin D for anyone. It does taste a lot like ice cream so I can see it being popular among even very young children. For concerned parents, there is no high-fructose corn syrup and if cholesterol's an issue, the Silk Vanilla Yogurt is definitely for you!
Silk Vanilla Yogurt is very easy to find in the yogurt and dairy section of your local grocery store. It doesn't cost much more than standard yogurt, and I think it certainly tastes better!
Same delicious taste as the Silk Vanilla Soy Milk
The Silk Vanilla Soy Milk is a favorite in my household, and has been for many years. I was so excited when I saw that Silk Made a vanilla soy yogurt too, since I love the flavor so much. The Silk Vanilla Soy Yogurt tastes just as deliciouis as the soy milk does. I love eating this as a plain vanilla yogurt or adding fruit and granola in it, and I even like using this yogurt to make smoothies with. THe Silk Vanilla Soy Yogurt is very smooth and creamy. It has a nice vanilla bean flavor, and it tastes even more amazing because it has cane sugar instead of regular sugar in it. I know most people eat and drink soy milk because they have disgestive issues, but I just like it for the flavor and the taste.
The Silk Vanilla Sory Yogurt is dairy free, as well as freew from any eggs, MSG, lactose, casein, and even gluten. SO if ou have any allergies or digestive issues them you can eat this yogurt no problem. It doesn't even have any artificial flavors or high fructose corn syrup. The first three ingredients in this yogurt are soymilk, cane sugar, and natural flavors.
My grocery store sells a lot of Silk products so I was pleasantly surprised and excited to see that they had this there as well. It's such a great tasting yogurt and it's healthy too.
It has 150 calories, 135 mg sodium, 2g dietary fiber, 6 g protein, and 19 g sugar.
I've only had the vanilla flavor so far, but the taste of so yogurt is just as good as the soy milk. It's not a thin or runny yogurt. It tastes very cream, and has a wonderufl vanilla bean flavor to it. The can sugar makes it taste very good.
They have a few different flavors besides the vanilla. They also have blueberry, peach mango, strawberry, and black cherry. I wish they would come out with more flavors, and different yogurts but this is all they have for now. If you haven't tried the other Silk products like the Soy, Almond, or Coconut milk you should because they all taste fantastic, and are healthy for you.
It's not very thin like other yogurts are because it's made from soy beans instead of milk. It's very ric, thick, smooth, and creamy. It has a deliteful consistency.
I can find this in my grocery store I go to. It's also convenient because I can eat this in many differents ways, so it's convenient and a versatile snack to have.
I recently discovered a issue with my body and dairy products. Therefore, I have started eating a lot of Silk products. I saw this yogurt and decided to try it since I loved their other products. It was absolutely delightful. It tastes incredible and very similar to normal yogurt. However, it is much better for you than normal yogurt. It does not contain dairy or gluten. Therefore, if you have food allergies like myself, you can still eat this yogurt. It also gives you a great deal of calcium without containing lactose. It is low in calories as well. I use mine in smoothies and also as a snack during the day. It tastes really good with fruit mixed in it as well. I would highly recommend trying this yogurt. It has a great deal of health benefits and tastes great. The price is slightly higher where I shop, but it is worth every penny. Your body will thank you for choosing this yogurt.
Silk Live! Soy Vanilla Yogurt is a hit at my house
If you've never tried soy yogurt, you may be pleasantly surprised that it actually tastes good. My kids have a sensitivity to casein (milk protein) and gluten, so I'm constantly on the lookout for products that are free of both. All Silk products are free of dairy, lactose, and gluten while none of their products come from animal derivitives, products, or by-products.
My 4-year-old LOVES this stuff and eats it every day. It's a great source of calcium, for those of you looking to inrease your calcium intake. You can also use it as a base for making smoothies or add fresh fruit for variety. The site also mentions adding granola or nuts, but we haven't tried that one because of multiple food sensitivities. Perhaps another Viewpoints writer has experience with that.
The 32 oz. size is a better buy, but the 6 oz. size is easier to use when on the go. The downside on the 6 oz. size is that they no longer sell them with plastic lids. That's usually not a problem with us because even the 4-year-old can typically finish 6 oz. at a time. The last time I checked, Silk did not offer to send a supply of lids, but Stoneyfield Farms did send me a supply of free lids a year ago. Unfortuntely, Stoneyfield Farms products were produced on a line that was not designated casein free and may have milk contamination the last time I checked, so if you have a milk allergy, I'd encourage you to steer clear of any chance of milk contamination.
In case any of you are interested in going green, Silk uses wind power and is consistently named to the EPA's Top 25 list, according to their website, which is informative and easy to navigate. This product is also organic.
I've found this product at specialty grocery stores, such as Whole Foods, in the triad in North Carolina. I haven't found it in mainstream grocery stores yet. With gas prices the way they are, I tend to special order this product by the case to make my drive worthwhile.
One word of caution: the plain flavor packaging is VERY similar to the vanilla flavor packaging. We accidentally bought the plain flavor and weren't pleased with the taste of that one. Also, plan to finish even that 32 oz. size rather quickly after opening as it tends to turn to liquid after a day or two.
