I have had the Siemans Hydrosensor dishwasher for six years. It is most definately the quietest, most efficient home appliance I own. It is so quiet that I sometimes forget that I have turned it on and have to open it to check and see if I did. No pre-rinsing is necessary because the machine has a "Pot Scrubber" feature that leaves everything squeaky clean. The downside of this feature is that the food catcher thingy on the bottom of the tub needs to be cleaned out regularly to avoid the stinkies. I feel this is a minor inconvenience compared to the machine's efficiency. I have tried different kinds of detergent and the one that works the best with the machine is the Cascade/dawn packets. I rarely use a rinse agent because it really is not necessary. The machine also dries the dishes quite well. The machine also heats its own water and sanitizes everything! The machine was a lot more expensive than other machines I was looking at, but I'm glad I spent the extra money. As a matter of fact, when I moved three years ago, I actually bought a cheap one to put in the old house and took my Siemans with me to the new house! All of my other appliances were perchased to match my dishwasher!
