Not all that it claims!

It does a pretty horrible job on edges and corners. Great for touch ups or thin sections of wall i.e. between a door frame and wall corner (if the space is wider than 3.5 inches). If you need an edging roller, this is definately NOT what you want to buy unless the adjoining surface area is going to be the same color as it will splooge over to the other side.

does not work as good as the package shows!

This was not my favorite at all in fact I took it back to the store I bought it from and told them it did not work right and caused alot of extra work for me. Too much paint leaks through andcauses an uneven paint line,so then you have to clean it off anyway. It was easier to just do it by hand and then the line was straighter and there was less mess too, at least for me.

This is a handy little roller brush that makes edging easy.

I didn't even know they made these little things until I went to paint my sons room recently.  I absolutely HATE doing edges, but this little roller allowed me to get so close to the edge that my job was almost complete.  I didn't have to worry about gunking up a lot of paint from a large roller and the change in brushes did not leave lines.  The wall looks SO smooth and I LOVE my sons new room (even if I did do it myself :-)

dont overload

This item is fine if you are in an area without tight areas.  When rolling and applying pressure ANY excess paint squishes out and messes your edges.  It is nice to do small areas just not edging due to it bing so soft and flexible.  I did however like that it was re useable and easy to wash.  This item does give a nice flat and even fihish to your area.  I was doing verticle striped in a room and used a regular roller to apply the first  coat then used this item to put the second and nioce smooth last coat.

No more visible brush strokes in tight spots!

This little roller is a must have in my painting supply box.  I like a nice even texture on my walls, and never liked the way a plain brush handled tight spots.  Not only does this tool eliminate most of those brush stroked areas, it's also great for touch ups between repainting and for repainting after drywall repairs.  I've been able to clean and re-use the roller many times between replacements.  I highly recommend this tool.

Great product

This is a great product, it saves you time and helps the paint to not smudge the edges from the roller you would use on the wall. a regular brush does not do this well. they are low cost and effective. your children can use this and not make mistakes. you can paint in small places.

It Was Like Trying to Paint With a Foam Hair Curler

I am all for trying to make grueling jobs easier, but the **Shur-Line Trim and Touch Up Roller** actually made my painting job a little harder.  The idea behind the roller is a simple one: a mini version of a paint roller that can get into tight spaces.  Although the concept makes sense, the reality of this product leaves a lot to be desired. The first thing I noticed about the Touch-Up Roller is that the little plastic handle was quite flimsy.  I didn't worry much about that because I knew that it wasn't going to get heavy duty use.  However, when I loaded the mini roller with paint from the paint tray, I had a hard time getting the roller to coat evenly.  The little sponge wasn't rolling completely into the paint. When I was finally able to get the paint onto the roller I began to apply it to a corner of the wall.  Again, the sponge wasn't rolling evenly and the paint that was rolling onto the wall was very splotchy.  I thought that perhaps I had too much paint on the roller so I attempted to offload the paint onto a paper towel and try again.  Unfortunately, it didn't seem to matter how much paint I was using - the foam roller just wasn't applying the paint very well.  I ended up going back to my paintbrush to get into the nooks and crannies, and then using the Touch Up Roller to smooth out the paint lines. All in all, the **Shur-Line Trim & Touch-Up Roller** is a good idea that didn't work so well.  Perhaps in future versions the company may end up with a better product if they make a sturdier handle and a better foam roller.  It was only a few bucks at my local hardware store so I'll still keep it around to smooth out brush marks when I use my paintbrush. That's the only reason I keep it in my painting arsenal.

Good for a touch up job, but not for painting a wall

I've used this a few times - It works well if you're just touching something up , but if you need to do a big area then it doesn't come out too good. - The roller is very thin and cheap so it doesn't hold much paint and you wind up spreading it out to a really thin layer of paint on the wall .. So you have to do it again and again.

easy to use and leaves a smooth finish

I have only been painting for a few years.  I've only had my own house for 7 years, so before everything was white, white, white!  Now it's color wherever I can! This rolling paint system works great! EAsy to use, leaves a smooth finish and usually covers in one coat if you prime your walls first.  If you are covering a darker color or want to paint a darker color you may have to put several coats on.  A good tip:  for jobs that need more than one coat, tint your primer and you can often save time money and a coat of paint.  If you can imagine colors on your walls, this will help you realize your dream the easy way!

very compact and easy to use

My husband purchased this product for me along with some oil based primer to paint an detailed outside door.  It was a decent price and worked very well for what I was using it for.  I don't like cleaning out brushes or rollers when I use oil base paints so this was perfect.  When I was finished priming I simply tossed it away.
