I've had this one for ages, and it's holding up well. I use it everyday before applying mascara. I have pretty long lashes and it really makes a difference if I curl or not - curled lashes really opens up the eye more (but any make-up artist could tell you that). This curler is easy to use, and I would recommend it to anyone, short lashes or long. It is easy to hold, and you can easily get close to the root of the lashes.

After years of drugstore eyelash curlers, the Shu Uemura one was a relief.  It's a little flatter and wider, so it doesn't dig into the corners of your eyes, and one curl is all that it takes.  It does come with a replacement pad as well, making the price more justifiable.

I find curled eyelashes super essential as they are natural and instantly beautifies the face without a smidgen of makeup. So, naturally, I researched to invest in a high quality eyelash curler, and the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler met my needs.  With this eyelash curler my eyelashes remained curled throughout the entire day! It was not until the end of the day when I showered that my lashes uncurled to their natural position. I don't know if it is the pad, or the actual curler, but my lashes stayed up the entire time. Other pros include never having lost an eyelash during curling, and easy to hold and use. I found that sometimes I did not even need to use mascara, as my eyelashes already appeared longer when curled. The only con I find is that it may pinch your eyelids if you try to curl too close. The shape of the curler may not be suitable to those with a flat or very round eyelid shape. Some people may find the Shu too expensive for an eyelash curler, but I feel that the eyelash lengthening effects outweigh its price. The lashes honestly do stay up the entire day. In addition, the box curler includes an addition pad to refill, so you will get two pads which will last quite a while before you need a replacement.

I have at least a dozen girlfriends that swear by the Shu Uemura eyelash curler so I ran out to buy one... The first couple of uses seemed OK, it wasn't the best eyelash curler I've ever had but it seemed to work fine. But slowly I noticed I was losing lashes - And then one day I realized that a whole patch of lashes were gone!!! I freaked and stopped using the curler and they've grown back since. But I will not touch the Shu Uemura eyelash curler ever again. Maybe it's my eye shape, maybe its my short lashes, who knows...? I don't doubt its a great curler, but its absolutely not for me. With my short lashes, I can't afford to lose any lashes to a curler, even if its temporary.   I know there are ladies out there that swear by this eyelash curler, but let me just share with the minorities out there that this is not for everyone.  I'm sure it works wonders for many ladies, just not for me... too bad, because I could really use the help!

I bought this eyelash curler last year, with the hopes that it would end my search for the perfect curler.  Unfortunately, I had to keep looking! The curler itself is ok, it could have very easily be mistaken for a regular run of the mill curler found in the cosmetics aisle of your neighborhood drugstore.  Alas, the price tag is the only difference. It curls the same as any the drugstore variety, and even worse--it starts losing its "tightness" very quickly.  You know what I mean, it gets loose and starts moving around in a side to side motion, making some eyelashes curl in weird directions.  I was not expecting this to happen only one month after purchase! Another drawback is that you can't purchase replacement pads.  I went to my department store's cosmetic counter and was told that Shu Uemura doesn't have replacement pads because they believe that we should purchase a new curler whenever the pads "go out."  Well excuse me, Mr. Wastefulness!  I happen to subscribe to the belief that we shouldn't just throw things in the trash.  Especially since the pads don't last very long to begin with.  After a few month's use, I decided to kick Shu Uemura to the curb and continue my search for the perfect curler.  Having crazy eyelashes pointing in different directions made that decision much easier than it should have been.

The Shu Eumura Eyelash Curler is the best eyelash curler I have ever used. I have tried a few other eyelash curlers and have found this one to be the best. Its curls my lashes beautifully! It fits well over my eyelashes and it doesn't pull out my eyelashes which is an issue I experienced with some other eyelash curlers. It curls my lashes from the base up to the tip of my eyelashes which makes them curl up and out. I love this curler because it makes my eyelashes look long and sexy! This eyelash curler comes with an extra rubber piece in the box, which is definitely a bonus! I use the Shu Eumura eyelash curler after I've applied mascara which is what I would recommend. I have never tried using it before applying mascara so I'm not sure how well it works if you use the curler first. Overall, this is an excellent eyelash curler. It is affordable and works perfectly, so I would definitely recommend this curler to anyone.

its the best thing to have when you have short eyelashes...its amazing its just changes the way your eye makeup looks...if you dont like to use mascara you can put just a little bit of vaseline on your eyelashes and use the curler; it gives you a very natural look.....i totally recommend it.

This product can be useful when you go out and want you eyelashes to be curled. But it tends to make your eyelashes to be staight up insted of curled. When using this product curl them first then put on mascara because it could rather smear your mascara or cut your lashes. Don't get me wrong it cut leave your lashes dazzling if you know how to use it just don't put a lot of pressure on the eyelash curler so it will leave the curled.

I love to make my eyes pretty for they are pretty..When i do put mascara on thick and then curl them with this curler wow do my eyes glow people actually say my eyes look like spiders legs when i curl them..I would highly recommend this to all ladies wonderful product.

Omg i was at my friends house one day and she has awesome eyelashes like the models. i asked her how does she get those beautiful eyelashes with that certain curl and she got her makeup bag and pulled out this Shu Uemura eyelash curler and told me with this. In my mind i was like are you serious just with this and she was like yeah just try it so i did and i have to say it made me look very awake and beautiful eyelashes ever. So when i got home i went to the store to buy one and it was sooooo cheap for how great it workes. Im sticking with this one for as long as i wear makeup or not i dont even need makeup so im staying with this product forever lol ;)
