have enjoyed using this little vac for dog and cat hair but the first time I used it to clean up water, it burned out and I was unable to fix it

I chose this particular shop-vac for its value price and compact size (as we already have way too much stuff!). Another attractive feature is the wall mount that it comes with (did I mention we're getting tight on space?). Unfortunately, the compact size of the shop-vac is extremely limiting! You fill it up before you even know it, so unless you are using it for the tiniest of jobs it will likely not suffice. Every time I use it I am constantly having to unplug it, open it up, go empty it. Furthermore, the electrical cord on this thing is a joke - it is super short, making an extension cord a must - but the hose is not really on the long side, either. And because of its abbreviated size, the hose and adjoining tools become clogged constantly during most uses. This is the first shop-vac I have personally owned, so I'm not sure how much more durable the filters for others might be, but I ripped the blue dry-use sheath filter the first time I cleaned it. Not good. As for the blower feature? That, too, is really more of a joke than anything else. It doesn't blow enough air to move much of anything (leaves included). If I had to do it over again I would have just put up a little extra cash (and space), foregone the cute little design and wall mount, and gone ahead and bought a larger model. Maybe not a full size, but there are some that are a bit bigger than this one that would have been far more useful to me.

A wet vac is a necessity in any home that has a basement. This is a small vac for small areas and it does a big job. If you are trying to dry carpet , Just put the larger head on it and put it on the spot . It will have such suction that you will literally have to pull it off. I used it when my shower drain backed up . It easily sucked all the water out of the shower so I could clear the drain. Switches quickly to a shop vac and sucks up any mess that is just not too big for the hose and then empties quickly and easily . It has a hanger so it can hang on the shop wall out of the way . I do wish it had wheels but you can't have everything. It's also a great way to clean your car interior. small enough to maneuver easily but with a lot more power than a car vacuum. Light weight and with a carrying handle on top, It's easy to transport or hold while using and can get into small spaces. Maneuverability I do wish it had wheels but is light weight Ease of Maintenance change the cover on the filter for wet or dry and wipe out the interior that's all you need.

If you are like me, and are only buying a shop vac for little projects around the house and maybe vacuuming out the car, then this is a great vacuum. We don't have a lot of room to store extra things in our garage, so it is essential that it fits in tight spaces. This unit only takes up about a square foot of room. It has great suction power for those industrial jobs around the home and cleaning up in the garage too. I like the different attachments, since we vacuum and wash our own cars here. It is not a very expensive machine and it would pay for itself if you normally have your car vacuumed. For garage or industrial vacuums, I don't think I would buy an off brand, only Shop Vac. They work well and are priced fairly. Maneuverability It's a little bit clunky, but it's small, so it doesn't get in the way. Ease of Maintenance It's easy to clean out. Suction Performance Especially, for a small model, it does not have lost suction. Versatility You can use it for several jobs around the garage and home. Design Great space-saving design. Durability I would imagine it would last for many years.

We use this product mostly in the garage and our vehicles. The best part is the handle on top. I like this setup better than the dustbuster type of mini vacuums because it's easier on the wrists. Because it has a vacuum hose with attachments, you're not holding the entire unit when moving it around, especially inside of vehicles. Maneuverability Works great inside of vehicles. Able to get inside crevices, under seats and the back window area better than other types of these vacs. Ease of Maintenance Easy to dump the dust/dirt/water loads, wipe clean and store it for the next use. Suction Performance Not the best suction but it picks up most visible mess. Versatility Good for vehicles, boats, RVs and wet, winter mess in our garage. Design Best part is the easy carrying handle. Durability Has lasted for several years.

I use this Shop Vac Mini almost for everything. My mom used to have a bigger version of this and I know it lasted her for many years so when it came to me having to buy one for my house I chose this one. I wanted a smaller version to be able and use it for everything without it occupying much space. So far this product has done just as it was expected. I like that I can use it for wet or dry clean up. It is so easy to handle and take everywhere as well as easy to use. When finished I can easily put this up and just place it away in the closet. I have owned mine for at least a year already and I havent had any problems with it so far. I would buy this again if I had to and I would as well recommend it.

My husband has a large Shop Vac in the garage and we have had tons of problems with it because the filter seems to clog up all the time whenever we use it on wet or dry surfaces. So he decided he was remodeling the bathroom and needed a smaller version of the troublesome version, with the bathroom being more confined it fits in there space wise. It throws a little dust around it vacuums the particles but we have not tried it on anything damp or wet because we dont want it to turn out like the other one. It does have enough guts to do a pretty decent job it picks up chunks and dry particles, it is fairly loud like the bigger versions. My son has found that this is the perfect vacuum for the cars and the trucks, it is easy to carry easy to manuever it fits perfectly into the trunk of a car or in the back of the truck. This is the perfect little vacuum for someone that has a small job to get done it is reasonably priced and available at most stores.

My husband has a bigger version, I guess you would call it the full size in his automotive shop. I had used it on several occasion's while helping him out or hanging out with him on the weekend's while he did this and that and I really liked it. When I saw that there was a small version, I just had to have one of my very own! Oh man do I love this thing ! Its extremely light weight and you can clean up practically any and everything with it ! I am a bird owner and they can be really messy! I use this to clean the bottom out of my Macaw's cage and it cleans everything up in a breeze with no effort at all. It will pick up the smallest to the biggest of messes! The kid's spill their drink in the carpet? No problem ! This little handy dandy fellow will handle that as well. A vacuum that is light weight that can pick up dirt and paper yet pull up soda and water all in the same hose! Who couldnt love that?! Its a real god send in my household and each time I use it, just empty it out and put it back up to wait on the next job that comes along ! It hasn't disappointed me yet ! I so love this product !!!! The Shop Vac HangUp Mini Wet/Dry Vacuum is an okay vacuum for small jobs, but when it comes to vacuuming out big vehicles or cleaning up water it's not so good a item to use.  It can pick up dirt pretty well and leaves a good clean look.  However, if I was trying to detail the inside of a vehicle and I shampooed the carpet or the seats, the vacuum tends to get clogged up.  The vacuum looses its ability to pull the water off of the carpet or the fabric of the seats. I take up so much time trying to un-clog the hoses that it takes me longer that it should when it comes to cleaning up my vehicle.  I would like to have some kind of vacuum that is very reliable, useful, and capable to handle the job that I need done and when I need it done.  It would be very good to have the type of necessary tools to properly clean a vehicle and to also be able to clean it in a timely manner.  The Shop Vac is an okay vacuum, but not for heavy duty jobs.
