Whether you're 'crunchy' or just looking for a great shampoo, I highly recommend ShiKai Daily Shampoo. Great smell, great clean, and leaves your hair absolutely beautiful. A wonderful way to prove all the chemicals and additives of name-brand shampoos are not necessary. Effectiveness I was very pleasantly surprised with the effectiveness of ShiKai. I was only looking for clean, but without all the chemicals of commercial shampoos. ShiKai leaves my hair healthy, soft, and a lot less frizzy and fly away than it was before. I only use apple cider after shampooing, so I can't contribute these attributes to any conditioner. Scent I LOVE the scent of this shampoo. A very pleasant fresh clean scent, without being perfume-y.

**Shikai Shampoo Everyday **is one of the best all natural shampoos that I have tried. I found it in my local natural health food store and decided to try it after reading an article about the benefits of using the all natural "shikakai extract" to clean your hair. Many shampoos contain harsh chemicals and sulfates to cleanse your hair, but they are actually doing more damage than good to your hair and the environment. These shampoos won't strip your hair of the natural oils which are so important to healthy hair and scalp. I find that Shikai shampoo is one of the only natural shampoos that actually makes my hair feel clean and soft after only one shampooing so I don't have to "rinse and repeat". Itdoes have a slight fragrance but it is very subtle and clean smelling. I highly recommend this shampoo because of it's wonderful mix of natural ingredients of which it only has about a dozen ingredients as opposed to the many chemicals listed in the drug store brands..

Shikai everyday shampoo is wonderfully simple.  It cleans without leaving buildup in my hair.  I've been using Shikai everyday shampoo daily since 2007, and I haven't needed to change shampoo at all since then. Before I found Shikai I suffered from what I thought was dry scalp.  I am now convinced that I am sensitive to many of the ingredients in most shampoos and my scalp was actually in distress.  A week after using Shikai (and I can't remember why I picked it up at the store) my scalp was the healthiest it's ever been. I've used Shikai everyday shampoo on days when my hair was really dirty (I used a leave-in coconut oil and herbal hair mask) and it left my hair perfectly clean after two shampoos.  Yet it's still really gentle.  My hairstylist once told me, "I don't know what shampoo you're using but keep using it.  Your hair is great and you never have any split ends." Shikai everyday shampoo is also vegan/vegetarian friendly, since it contains no animal ingredients and doesn't test on animals.  Its active ingredients are aloe vera gel and an extract from the shikakai tree.

Love this Shikai Natural Everyday Shampoo--has the least amount of ingredients than nearly any other shampoo (& I've researched over 50 drugstore & health store products), yet it does exactly what it says: cleans your hair--and does it well, with an amazingly refreshing smell. The good part is, this product doesn't build-up and it doesn't strip, either (I have colored hair). My hair (which is fine, tho I have a lot of it) feels just about squeaky clean (I now know that having the squeak is necessarily good--it can mean that essential oils are stripped and dry one's hair) after using this. Additionally, it provides a good amount of suds (something that some natural/organic products can't get right) during the process. The scent isn't overpowering, either, nor is it something I can smell all day (like with the with many Aveda products), it's just a light clean scent while washing. Isn't like those clarifying shampoos that leave one's hair a snarled mess, either. It just does what it's supposed to without a bunch of toxic, unneccesary chemicals. I'd used Shikai's body washes in the past & been pleased, so was especially thrilled to find this product.
