This is a great little Sharp microwave, compact and fits easily into any space. A neat feature is that It has shortcut buttons for melt, soften and warm which comes in handy when you need to soften butter for baking. It also has REHEAT and COOK as well as a guide on the front door listing casseroles, frozen vegies, dinner plate, soup, frozen entree etc. I especially liked the special button for DEFROST. You only have to know the weight of what you are defrosting and the microwave will calculate the time needed and beep you when you should test the meat or turn it over. This microwave comes with a dedicated button for popcorn which is probably standard now for all microwaves. Simple to clean, comes with a glass carousel (be areful not to break it!!) that is easily removed and then you can wipe clean the inside. It has a digital clock which is sometimes hard to see since it is black numbers over a gray background - would prefer if it was brighter maybe bright green numbers on a dark background and bigger woul be helpful for us sight challenged people. I purchased mine at Bed Bath & Beyond with a 20% off coupon so it was reasonably priced. The brands change there so it may or may not be still available.

I bought this Sharp microwave to replace another one. I liked the first one so well I had hoped this one would be just as good and so far I am satisfied. This model is lighter weight than my old one so sometimes when I push the button to open the door or close it the microwave does shift out of its place. However, I have not had any food or drink spills because of this so it's not a big deal to me. The start and stop buttons have a plastic film that sticks out and does not seem good quality. The only other design flaw for me is that the interior light is only on when an item is cooking or heating. I liked that the light stayed on when the door was open in my old model as I could use the microwave light instead of having to turn the light on in the room. This is especially nice in the morning or late at night. I mainly use the microwave to heat and reheat items. It has a glass carousel dish to rotate and heat food and drink items thoroughly and evenly. Overall I like this microwave and would definitely continue purchasing this brand.

We've had this microwave for about seven years, and aside from some discoloration on the door and some bubbles under the number panel, it still works as good as it did when we bought it. Performance We have never had a problem with the performance of this microwave, and we use it about as much as a typical family would use a microwave. Settings/Features It definitely doesn't have all of the fancy features of some of the bigger, more industrial microwaves out there, but it has your basic "defrost", "popcorn", etc. settings that were more than enough for us. Ease of Cleaning I don't think I would rate ANY microwave as being "easy" to clean, but this one isn't any worse or better than the rest. Life with most microwaves it can get difficult to clean around the vents on the top, but other than that it's fairly easy as it's small and the rotating dish is easily removable. Ease of Use Very easy to use, except it always takes us forever to remember how to set the time on it (we don't have many power outages, so we forget how to do it in between the outages). Durability It's definitely durable for it's size, but for a person looking for a large microwave or a person that has a large family of mouths to feed, a bigger microwave would work better and get the job done faster. Design I have no problems with the design, except for the fact that the door started turning cream after a few years use. This isn't really a problem except that the white panel that the buttons rest on is still white, thus the contrast between the two is very evident. And there also appears some bubbles beneath the button panel, especially under the buttons we used the most.

So far, it works well and we haven't seen any problem with it. We use it every day and quite happy with it. **Pros** It's a bit large, but fit well in my kitchen and I personally think that it's good for families with kids. It has tons of features for your family to use like: popcorn, melting butter, chocolate, softening ice cream, ... and quite useful for the variety of use in your house. It heats pretty accurately to it's preset items, and we trust the preset buttons for the first time ever with a microwave. So you know, we enjoyed popcorn at home a lot. It's extremely clean, simple and white. It's very easy to clean, you can wipe the whole face down without a problem. **Cons** It is a little loud when you close it. But again, I wouldn't mind and I don't think it's a problem for me. And it's a bit large as I mentioned above, so be prepared to have a big space for it.   Overall, I strongly recommend this microwave since it's spacious, clean, easy to use and has great features for your family.

When our old GE microwave gave up on us we needed to replace it very fast. My son was at the point when he started to eat solid foods and i used the microwave to thaw and heat all the frozen foods I prepared for him. So we looked online, visited some stores and finally we decide to buy this sharp microwave mostly because the price was reduced. But it turned out we made a very good decision. i don't really cook food in the microwave (i try to avoid this as much as possible for our sake) but I use it to thaw and heat food and milk all the time. The turntable is wonderful, the cooking options are handy (even if i don't use them too much!), it is easy to work with the energy level and is very easy to add time while heating or cooking with a fast touch of a button. It is also very easy to clean but I guess all microwave are the same when it comes to cleaning. One thing I don't like about it, it is a little bit too noisy. Bottom line, it is money very well spent!

My mom bought this microwave for me for Christmas. Our old microwave wouldn't pop a bag of popcorn and my mom knew I needed something with a little more power. This microwave has been a big improvement and I love having it! I like the turning carousel that helps prevent hot spots. I also like the compact size of the microwave. It doesn't take up too much counter space. I like that the 1 minute button on the Sharp Carousel microwave. It is a snap to throw something in the microwave and push one button to get it started. I also like that I can add one minute by pushing the same button while the microwave is already on. If I can see that my leftovers will need another minute to cook I don't need to wait for it to beep and reset it or stop the microwave and start with more time. I simple push the "add one minute" button and it continues heating. We've had the microwave for nine months now and is amazing!
