Changed my life
I have suffered from depression and generalize anxiety disorder all my life (even as a child). It wasn't until after friends, family, and teachers convinced me to just try anti-depression medicine to see if it would do any good that I tried them. 5 years later, I am still on Sertraline (generic Zoloft) and I can honestly say it saved my life, it changed my life, and I don't know what I would do without it. I have no shame in telling others about my experience. I truly feel that I have a chemical imbalance that causes me to need it and need it for a long period of time. However, in most cases the need is only temporary. Anti-depressants aren't for everyone and often people who take them who don't really need them usually have strange side effects and reactions to them. Take them ONLY if you really truly need them and NEVER stop taking them without talking to your doctor as skipping dosages or stopping 'cold turkey' can cause suicidal thoughts.
