I just got bad dandruff recently and I tried many shampoos but none of them worked the way I wanted. My scalp was very dry and flaky. It started to become itchy and it was just gross. I seen this advertised in a magazine and I decided to try it. It was at a reasonable price it wasn't expensive. It worked really good I noticed I didn't get that much dandruff after. My scalp wasn't so itchy or flaky anymore. It deep cleaned my scalp made it feel clean and smooth and I felt more confident in my hair. My hair suddenly was in different shape it felt clean. I would recommend this to anybody who has dry scalp with dandruff or even buildup. This shampoo works it doesn't smell all that great but it really works and you would be so thrilled to have your scalp looking and feeling clean. It doesn't dry out your hair and its not harsh or too heavy. Its like a deep cleaner that will remove all that buildup on your scalp. I was very pleased with it I would buy this again if my dandruff came back.

Soothes my dry itchy scalp. I have very dry skin, and my scalp is generally tight itchy and uncomfortable. Selsun blue moisturizing shampoo definitely helps me and is good for my hair too. It's not a magic bullet, but it's definitely an improvement over any other shampoo I've tried, including natural shampoos with no chemicals. Make sure you clean your ears well, I've definitely gotten it in my ear and the blue is unmistakable,

My husband always had the bad dandruff and used Head & Shoulders for years. However, my sister-in-law recommended this product to us and it has worked really well on his scalp. Not so much on mine... You see, although this is the moisturizing formula, it didn't make my hair feel softer or silkier, which I would normally attribute to have "moister" hair. I tend to need to use an additional hair conditioner just to get the tangling out and the moisture in. I live in Israel in the summer and I have SUPER thick long curly hair which tangles and frizzes often in the high humidity. I will grant that it had a very cooling effect on my scalp after a long day out in the Israeli heat, but cooling is nothing when you have to tug at your hair to take out the tangles and your hair ends up frizzing more and feeling like sandpaper... And it was NOT the most pleasant of smells either.... Like medicated shampoos often smell. I wish it has a more flowery scent... After all, I am a lady and I should NOT smell like menthol head.

I have really bad dandruff. I have had it most of my life and I used other dandruff shampoo before and it went away for a few years but a few months ago I started getting bad dandruff again. I decided to use Selsun Blue this time to see how well it works and how much I like it. The price is reasonable to me. It is priced similar to most of the other dandruff shampoo. The shampoo itself has a weird texture to it. It is greenish blue and has a thick feeling to it. When I use shampoo, I tend to pour some into one hand and rub it between both hands first before putting it in my hair. The shampoo feels like it is some sort of paste. It is not as smooth as some of the other shampoo that I have used in the past. The shampoo has an unpleasant smell to me. I call it the medicated smell. The smell is pretty strong and it does linger after a shower. The good thing is that others cannot smell it. I know because I complained about the smell and my husband told me he could not smell anything. It took a about 4 months of using only this product before my dandruff problem went away. I will not buy this product again once I am done with it.

Once winter hits and the cold harsh winds move in, I instantly get horrible dandruff. My scalp gets extremely red, dry and itchy. I have tried multiple dandruff shampoos. Some of them worked, but had a very high price tag. Others didn't work at all. I finally discovered Selsun Blue. The price is reasonable. After the first use my scalp was no longer red or itchy. After a few more uses my dandruff was completely gone. Just using it a twice a week keeps the dandruff and red, itchy scalp at bay. There are a few downsides to this shampoo. It doesn't smell the greatest, but usually medicated shampoo doesn't smell amazing. Also my hair gets extremely tangled. I usually use a light conditioner after using Selsun Blue. Or at the very least detangling spray. I would recommend this shampoo to anyone who is having dandruff problems. It works extremely well!

I love love love Selsun blue!!!! It is the best danruff shampoo around. Especially the moisturizing kind. However it is rather expensive if you can't find it on sale.. However the offbrand isn't as good so don't buy it. Even though expensive, it is great quality and I reccomend it extremly highly. Cons: I can't think of any except for price... or that you can't buy a worthwile off brand. Otherwise its awesome!!! Pros: I love the Smell, Color, Way it works, has a great size, and quality. I like the way the bottle  is designed, very easy to grip. The cap is fine, letting the product come out well, but not too fast or too slow.  It doesn't dry out my hair like some shampoos, and my hair smells good, and feels clean after I use it.   Over all Selsun Blue Moisturizing is my favorite dandruff shampoo on the market.  I highly highly reccomend you buy it, if you have severe or even mild dandruff problems. Cradle cap is a common condition in babies, leaving dry scaly patches that are almost impossible to get off on their scalps. My daughters case was terrible. I tried everything I could to comb the scales off her head but they just kept coming back. My pediatrician recommended trying Selsun Blue. It is pretty expensive for a shampoo but it really worked great! After about a week of using this shampoo, my daughters cradle cap was gone for good after months of trying. It does have a really harsh smell and since its a medicated shampoo and not a baby shampoo you have to be very careful not to get it in their eyes. We didn't use anywhere near the entire bottle, it only took a small amount to help her scalp. I have used it a couple times when we've run out of regular shampoo, it works like normal shampoo on me. You can definitely tell its medicated, it tingles when your scalp comes in contact with it.
