Love It

Sega's Alien Isolation is one of the most innovative games to arise in the long line of new gen games. When I first heard about this game I was pretty skeptical. Move based games have been known to be pretty terrible. After getting a chance to play the demo, I quickly changed my mind and had to buy the full game. What I love about this game is that it brings you right back to the original 70's classic movie "Alien". The game is not your typical action game where you are going around exterminating the Alien species. Instead you spend most your time trying to escape, and using the resources around you to hide yourself from being killed. This is where the fun is. You will spend the entire game on edge, and you will often find yourself on the verge of jumping out of your seat at nearly any sound within the game. Overall this is a fantastic game. I wish more companies would take note at building innovative games, and not rehashing the same thing over and over.

A surprisingly good step up from its predecessor

When I saw that this game was being made, I was a bit skeptical. Due to the fact that Alien: Colonial Marines was less than stellar, I didn't have high hopes for this game. I was proven wrong when I first bought the game. The fact that it builds a strong, eerie atmosphere really adds to the suspense of the game. Much of what works for this game is all the suspense that it is able to build up within the beginning of the story. Not just that, but the graphics are beautiful. I feel like this game went a bit slow at times. While the slow pacing was great at making suspense, it also made me bored of the gameplay at times. Other than that, I felt like the game was pretty solid in most aspects. I found it to be a fun, thrilling game, one I would definitely recommend gamers pick up.
