Great for really curly and thick hair. And perfect for a lot and long hair becuase of the size. It last long, but with only a once or twice per month use. It is lightweight and doesn't tire your arm as much when doing long, thick hair. The shine in your hair is surreal and leaves your hair super straight for days. Effectiveness It leaves your hair straight and shiny, and does not cause as much heat damage as other flat irons. Durability It lasted me 2 years using it 1 or 2 times per month.

My hair is thick, coarse, slightly wavy, and just past shoulder length. Before purchasing my Sedu flat iron, I would go through many drug store flat irons that just didn't work. They would leave my hair flat with no volume, and my hair got damaged really easily. I finally looked at Folica and figured it would be better for me to purchase 1 nice, durable flat iron than many flat irons that damaged my hair and broke easily. That was 6 years ago and my Sedu is still working as well as the day I bought it. The flat iron heats up quickly, and the temperature is very easy to control. I also will sometimes go from longer hair to a cheek-length bob hairstyle- no matter the length of my hair, the plate size on this flat iron can still give me sleek, straight hair. Effectiveness Straightens hair without getting rid of volume or giving you heat-damage. Make sure to use a heat protectant! Durability Still works as well as it did when I first purchased it. I do have to wipe off the plates with a damp washcloth once a month or so, to get any residual crud off.

I purchased this straight iron about 4 years ago and still use it all the time. Long lasting, heats up quickly and evenly. I have used so many different straighteners over the years and this was by far the most durable...and I have dropped it several times. I have thick, curly hair and it always works for me no matter what style I am trying to achieve. Would definitely recommend this straightener to anyone looking for a good product that will outlast any others. Only complaint I have is that my hair tends to get stuck in the corners where the heat plates meet the plastic but as long as I use smaller sections that didn't extend past the plates then I was fine. And as with all straighteners product buildup will occur. For this straightener it was right where the plates and plastic meet. When I purchased mine it also came with a heat productive sleeve/storage case which was absolutely great.

The best part of using this flat iron so far is that it doesn't tug at and break off or pull out my hair.The flat iron plates are an uncommon combination of ceramic and tourmaline.This makes for a smoother and softer hair strand from what I've read because it produces more negative ions than just ceramic alone.This flat iron heats up really fast and heats evenly along the plates.My hair doesn't revert nearly as fast.I think that frizz has something to do with sealing the cuticle of the hair strand.I think this flat iron is better at that because of the tourmaline.The bigger plates make for faster straightening as you can work on wider pieces.It has so many temperature settings which makes it ideal for touch ups as well as full straightening jobs.This hair straightener is always rated number one on every hair styling tools websites I go to.I think I've bought the best.

I bought my Sedu a while ago and it's been a great addition to my styling tool family. I bought it as I was leaving for college to replace a very old (but great) straightener. Originally I bought a Chi Air, but that couldn't control my super curly hair, so I returned it and tried the Sedu. This straightener was able to give me better results than the Chi in less time, with less heat, and I had to go over the same sections of hair fewer times. It's easy to hold, with a swivel cord. You can change the heat setting to however you want, and the face plate is pretty large. It actually does not do as good of a job as my old, old straightener (which I got about 10+ years ago), however, with the ceramic plates, it is better for my hair in the long run. This is not the straightener for you if you need to get into tight corners. I bought the Sedu with larger plates because it was easier for my long(ish), curly hair, but for bangs or something similar this may not be what you need. Also, the plates are unrounded and large, which means that this won't work for curling your hair. Effectiveness It's able to tame my frizzy, curly hair. Durability I have had it for about 4 years with no problems.

I have medium length, SUPER thick, SUPER curly, SUPER frizzy hair and it is the biggest pain in the world to manage! Through the years I've gone though quite a few straighteners, always the crappy cheap ones that end up taking 10 years to get the job done satisfactorily, but don't produce lasting results. Finally I decided it was time to put money into something so my hair wouldn't be such a hassle to fidget with, and I settled on this Iron and I'm very happy with my decision. It has cut the time it takes to straighten my hair almost in HALF! No more hand cramps or unfinished sections in the back! This is my go-to straightener. After breaking my previous one, I tried this out and I loved it from the very start. It's easy to use and it doesn't have a burning smell like some other straighteners do. It's also pretty safe. I accidentally left it plugged in and on for a whole day, and it didn't harm anything. Obviously I won't be doing that again, but there was no damage. It smooths your hair and doesn't leave it frizzy and the straightness stays in all day. It smoothly opens and closes, and I haven't had any problems in my two years of owning it. I have recommended it to many people, and those who have tried it all love it. It's great for any kind of hair, and it works easily and perfectly. Effectiveness It definitely straightens your hair better than a lot of other straighteners, and the hair stays straight throughout the day. It straightens quickly, so you can put as little heat on your hair as you can. Durability I have dropped this, and nothing has happened, which makes me think it's pretty sturdy.

This is a great straightener.  I would compare it to the Chi.  i personally chose this one over the Chi.  I did a lot of research before choosing the right straightener.  I had read a ton of reviews and The sedu was top rated.  It truly is a wonderfuly machine.  I have super frizzy, curly, medium length hair.  It used to take me 45minutes to an hour to straighten my hair.  With the Sedu it takes me 25 minutes and perfectly straightens my super curly hair within a couple of seconds.  It heats up relatively fast within a minute or so and keeps you hair pretty much straight until the next shampoo even if you sleep with it over night.  A quick couple of minutes with the sedu renews it to it's straight self.  Straightening with the sedu also makes your hair look a lot shiner and healthier.  I would recommend using some kind of cream substance before straightening over damp hair.  It will prevent it from drying out.  Afterall the heat reaches up to 410 degrees.

I got this at the recommendation of a friend. I am Asian with very fine black hair and I thought it would be appropriate to buy a flat iron that is made in Korea since it would be most suited for Asian hair. After using it for over a year, I must say it is worth every penny I paid for it. It comes with a pouch so it is easy to store and I have yet to clean it since it is kept in the pouch the whole time. It heats up very quickly (in seconds) and I have yet to burn myself (thank goodness!) I can usually get my hair straightened or slightly curled within ten minutes of using it. And my hair feels so much smoother and silkier with the combination of hair gels and the flat iron. Before using the iron, I would apply either Biosilk or CHI straightening silk infusion as well as the CHI iron guard to protect my hair from the heat. I don't think this iron can be used on wet hair, so be sure to dry your hair completely before using it.
