Such Sucking Power

5

I used this at my grandmother and grandfather's house once, and compared to my house's Dyson Ball, it wasn't good. But, on it's own terms, it was good. It did clean everything and it wasn't the hardest thing to maneuver. Maneuvering compared to my Dyson Ball, though, was very tough and I had the worst time ever vacuuming. The design, however, is horrible. I am very picky about how my items look, and I just did not like this vacuums design. On the plus side, though, the durability of this vacuum is great, my grandparents told me that they've been using this vacuum for years, now. Maneuverability This wasn't the easiest thing to maneuver compared to my Dyson Ball, but it wasn't the hardest vacuum to maneuver that I have ever used. Ease of Maintenance Maintenance is pretty simple. Not difficult at all. Suction Performance Good suction, it cleaned carpets and hardwood floors with no problem. Design I don't like the design at all. It just does not look good to me. Durability This vacuum has lasted my grandparents a few years.

13 years old and going strong!

When my husband and I bought our home 13 years ago, he bought me a new vaccuum (a SEBO) as a house-warming gift. Before this, I had always used a hand me down vaccuum from different family members. I am grateful for their kindness, but it was wonderful to get to pick out my own vaccuum! I couldn't believe my husband would let me spend this much money on a vacuum! but it was totally worth it. It is easy to change bags. It is easy to clean the brush. I love the fact that it self adjusts when I go from my hardwood floors to the carpeting. I was only go to use it on the carpeting, but it does such a great job on the wood floors that I use it there almost all the time. I've brought it in for general maintenance three times since I got it, I think. The last time, the repairman that I bought it from showed me how to get toys out of the hose, so I can do that myself next time! (Yes, I do have preschoolers and we do have legos. How did you guess?) The other thing that surprised me was how full I can let the bag get while still having great suction power. When I feel the suction getting low, I check the bag and it is usually about 80% full or more. I really like this vacuum. The initial investment is hefty, but if you average it out over the 13 years that I have already had it, it doesn't really come out to that much per year. Versatility The SEBO comes with quite a few attachments and works great for cleaning the sofa, the curtains, under the piano, in the corners, wherever and whatever you want to clean.

excellent vacumn for cat hair and we have six cats

5

we had this vacumn for over 10 years not sure exactly but a long time , and it finally died, so we just bought another and we have 6 cats and since it takes the hair out of carpets like none other . we are sold on it . i like that it changes to floors as we have area carpets only and tile and wood floors throughtout the house .it works on furniture too . when you buy the best you pay and since i have not tried tyson i think the suction in this one is ok apparently because cat hair is the hardest to clean. it is a bit heavy but not cumbersome and does fit under most furniture and beds , attachements are good ( you get an extra one with the new vacumn) over all we are very happy with sebo

This is a pretty decent vacuum for most overall cleaning.

I like this vacuum very much for most uses -- it gets around well, isn't too heavy, has been easy to maintain, and is pretty easy to add on the tools in order to use. The tools are setup to only go a limited distance from the vacuum (this may be typical). As an example, you would need a longer hose to do stairs unless you want to have to hold the vacuum while you do the stairs. I you want to get further than 2-3 feet (not sure the actual distance) you have to buy a special hose. The biggest problem I have with mine is that IT HAS NO LIGHT!!! I don't know if they've changed it since I purchased mine.

I love my Sebo!

I got this vacuum 5 years ago, hoping it would last me at least 20 years. I service the vacuum every year, I change the filters twice a year, at least. There is no belt to replace. If the brush gets caught on the drapes, on toys, on rugs, or even on kids sweaters, the brush shuts itself off. I can use this vacuum all over my house, and even on the outdoor carpeting of the back patio. The brush raises and lowers itself based on the sensor which is inside of the vacuum. I can lay the vacuum flat to clean under beds, and I can take apart the vacuum if it gets clogged. I have 4 kids who like to help their mom vacuum and it can be a little scary letting the kids take the vacuum on a joy ride around the house, but I do know that they are safe. I enjoy how clean my sebo gets my carpet. Many people ask why I would pay so much for a vacuum and I have to tell them because it is a quality product. It works just as good as the day I got it. There are no belts to replace. It is quiet and I don't have to buy a new vacuum every 3 years, because I went to the discount store and bought a cheap machine. I love my sebo!

The sebo sucks....literally

I learned of the Sebo X4 upright at the housecleaning company that I work for.  When the Oreck finally died, they bought a Sebo.  After using that for a few months, I knew I would never buy any vacuum but that.  It is amazing (yes I did buy one for my own house).  It has better suction than any vacuum I have ever used and it automatically adjusts to the height of the carpet.  I love that you will never have to change the belt on it because it doesn't have one.  You never have to smell that burning rubber smell.  However, my favorite thing about the sebo is it's hose and attachments.  On all other  vacuums I have used, either there has been no hose or you have to bend down and unscrew stuff and attach the hose to some part of the vacuum.  It is a pain in the butt when you just want to suck up a stray fuzz to close to the wall to vacuum up.  With the Sebo, you don't need to bend at all.  It's already right there at your waist with a handle and everything.  Just grab and suck.  I have yet to find another vacuum like it.

My Sebo vacuum cleaner makes my home feel as clean as a hospital

When my thirty year old Kirby finally gave up the ghost, I wanted to find something with as much cleaning power and longevity but that would be lighter and easier to manuever.  The wonderful sales people at my mom and pop repair shop recommended the Sebo - the commercial model of which is often used in hospitals.  I love that it came with such a great warranty and it hasn't let me down yet in terms of cleanliness.  With three young children in the house, I have put it up against some tough jobs (like a bag of flour that mysteriously exploded in my living room) and it has handled them like a champ.  It's also incredibly easy to change the bags and filters without making a mess - a huge improvement over my bagless Kirby!  I recommend this to anyone who does a lot of vacuuming - big or little jobs.  This vacuum is light enough to move around the house, but powerful enough to handle anything you can throw at it.
