I bought the Samsung M580 because it offered a lot of the features I was looking for in a new phone. This phone was expensive and not very pretty to look at, but due to it's features I went against my better judgement and purchased it. At first, it seemed like I had made a good decision to buy it. After about three weeks of owning it I realized what a piece of junk the Samsung M580 really was! Over the course of just a few months I  had gone through three handsets! There was a major texting malfunction, one of the picture chips had gone on it so I could not even read my call log, let alone view what I was texting or had been text. It would randomly shut itself off in the middle of conversations or shut off whenever it felt like it. I was constantly missing important calls because it would turn off without warning! My cellular provider was not able to offer me any help with possible manufacturers defects because Samsung refused to classify all these issues as a defect on their part!
