For the most part, we enjoyed this while we had it. I do think the picture quality could have been better. The sound was excellent though. One of our kids hit the screen two months after we bought it with a little plastic toy and broke the screen. We not only had their warranty plus best buys but, we purchased extra. Not a single one covered it. Surprise, surprise. So, we paid an unreal amount for a t.v. and no longer had it 2 months later despite all our warranties. Picture Quality I was a little disapointed in the picture quality. I think for the price, it should be better. Sound Quality The sound quality was great! It's not perfect but, one of the better ones in my opinion. Durability It took a little plastic toy, a two year old, and a not so hard hit to ruin this. Not durable to me. Also, the warranty didn't cover it and the cost to fix it was unreal. I felt sick as we threw this 52" out two months after purchase. I have no desire to ever but Sony again. I know they won't back us when needed. Design I think it's a pretty basic design for a large flat screen. I like that it's not too bulky even with such a big picture. Performance Overall, I think it performs well.

Looks very good in my room, And came with DVD playes and speakers. The best tv , i have purchased this with very good deal, i cannot believe its a great purchase with entire package. The quality is incredible,And glad that samsung is running such a great deal.the grat feature,it is prooved above my expectation. Image quality is bright and clear.our entire family enjoying watching shows and movies, especially my husband love to play WII games. The built in speaker has great sound effects and quality. Another thing about the tv is that has sleek, cool and elegant design, sharp picture, bright display, true colors, matte screen , light weight and i personally no regreats, i love it and hightly recommended.

I've researched and looked high and low at nearly all models of HDTV for a year before buying the Samsung LN52A650.  I must admit, I am a bit of a brand snob when it comes to TVs and there were many criteria that I debated in order to fulfill my level of standard and budget.  It's been exactly one year now since I've bought the LN52A650 on Black Friday.  After all this time with daily use (6+ hours per day), the picture quality is still vivid and brilliant.  I own both a Samsung 52" plasma and this 52" LCD that was bought the same time and the quality difference is surprisingly surely noticeable.  I love the convenient USB ports with media interface; however, one drawback with that is the limited type of media files it supports ie., it doesn't support MKV files.  I wish that it could be updated so it'd be more convenient for me, but it appears so far Samsung doesn't offer that.  Oh well, I can work around that issue.  All in all, I still love my Samsung 52" TV and I consider it to be the best purchase I've made thus far in terms of its quality and price!  Sure you can always pay more for better features/improvements, but I am just utterly pleased with my Samsung TV experience.

We had bought this tv as a display and we couldn't be happier. The picture is crystal clear and has has no flaws what so ever. The sound is incredible and if you keep the tv on stereo and turn up the tv it's like having surround sound without all the bells and whisles to hassle with.It's also pretty easy to mount it as well. The down side is that it didn't come with a box or a stand but we got discounted for that and we came to expect that since it was a display model. I suggest this item to anyone and don't be hesitant if it's a display because they last much longer then you think. Also with blue ray movies...oh my this is a unbelievable experience. It almost pops out of the screen and like i said before it's so crystal clear and beautiful. My daughter even watches her cartoons on this tv and can see it from anywhere in the living room die to the size. You deffinitely get what you pay for!!!

The tv rocks.  Consumer reports give it a great review.  Great picture, sound, menus, options, etc, etc.  You can configure it about a thousand different ways and can even update your own firmware.  The samsung ln52a650 is awesome.  Only negative is the glass frame picks up a reflection across the top when watching it in the dark.  This is the only model that does it.  If it bothers you get the 750 or 550.

We've owned our Samsung LN52A650 TV for a couple months now. We love it and do not regret a minute of it. The picture is excellent, almost too excellent. We had to turn it down some so that it still looked like what we were used to. Basically even though we still only have a SD signal, many shows looked like a set (which we know they are) vs the reality they're trying to portray. That isn't a bid thing, but can take a little to get used too. Setup was strait forward and easy. Fine tuning can take a bit longer, a lot longer if you have no idea what you're doing. :)   Some say they have real bad reflections on the screen, In our setup I haven't had that issue any time of day. I think our older Rear Projection Screen TV had a lot more reflection. I think the mounting can have a lot to do with it as well. This is mounted higher than our rear projection screen was. Maybe that makes the difference? We even have a sunlight in front of the TV and still really no issues. The picture is bright and clear. The Touch Of Color (TOC) is nice. I t breaks up the solid black frames of most TVs on the market today. And it is just a touch of color. Its not distracting to us at all. I think for the money, it has the best value. I know I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this TV. Nearly all of them were extremely positive. I highly recommend this set if you're in the market for one.

Like the 46-inch Samsung flatscreen we own, this 52-inch has not disappointed.  The picture quality is outstanding and blows away that of other TVs that we shopped for.  We had previously been devotees of Mitsubishi, but TWO rear-projections in the last 5 years that we've owned (3 years was the longest life we got out of either of these two TVs) and have broken have given us sour grapes against them (and, for little more than the retail price of one Mitsubishi, we bought BOTH the 46- and 52-inch Samsungs).  This is rather unfortunate, because Mitsubishi had the most outstanding picture quality, but the Samsung has so far very pleasantly surprised us.  We also have a Samsung brand washer and dryer and have been pleasantly happy with those appliances, as well. There's not much more I can say about the TV, as we are far more concerned with picture quality than features.  We don't need picture-in-picture or DVR, as we mainly use the screens to watch movies and utilize our home theatre rather than to watch TV (in fact, we don't even have cable because we can't get it and refuse to get locked in to a two-year contract with DirecTV).  For absolutely stunning picture quality in a TV, GO WITH SAMSUNG!!

I've had this TV for over 2 years now and I still love it and feel is still competes with even the new TV's that are being released today.  The picture quality is fantastic as are the deep blacks and whites.  I don't feel like I'm missing any details in the shadows and the highlights.  I haven't had any issues with the glossy, glass like finish either because the TV is so bright that you don't even notice it.  I have received a lot of complements on our TV and I give all the credit to Samsung for making a quality product.  I was a little concerned about the bezel edge with the touch of color when I ordered it, but it is so subtle that it adds a nice touch without any distraction.   The 120hz looks great with movies and sports.  Overall I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would most definitely by another Samsung TV.  I highly recommend this TV to anyone that is looking for a great looking affordable picture.

We purchased this tv for our 55th. wedding anniversary for each other. Turns out it is really my husband's. But, we both love this tv. As Gene said while watching a golf match, (it was in HD), the picture is so clear and the grass is so green that it looks like I am really there. He researched tvs in stores, and on line, and talked to as many people as he could about tvs. This is the one he finally settled on and we have not been disappointed at all. Every thing that we watch is so clear and the colors are beautiful. And when our youngest son was looking for a new tv, and he saw ours, he bought the exact same one and loves it also.

I recently purchased this t.v. and I am very happy with it. It is sleek and slim just what I was looking for. However if you wanted something that you could watch in very high picture quality this is not it. While it has great picture quality there are now better items on the market. But overall I am very happy with this purchase. I always used to buy only sony TVs because I could trust their relability however times have changed and the sony TV that I bought broke just after I bought it. Samsung TV quality has gone up since the early 2000s and it is now competitive with the rest of its competitors even sony. in fact I would say that this samsung TV has bested any sony TV in quality that I have ever owned.
