We have owned this refrigerator for about two years now. After owning this French door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom I would never consider any other refrigerator configuration. The volume/amount of storage space is great - very roomy and we have plenty of space for our household. This refrigerator can hold two gallons of milk in the door and has plenty of room on the shelves for additional large storage (with young children it is not unusual for us to have 3-4 gallons of milk at any one point). We enjoy having water/ice available and this feature works well externally. However, the one major flaw that we have experienced relates to the ice maker. If we do not make a point to turn the ice maker off and keep it off most of the time, a heavy layer of ice will build up on the bottom of the refrigerator under the produce doors. Water will eventually leak down and out the bottom of the refrigerator, which caused our wood floors to swell/cup under the refrigerator. We do not use the ice feature frequently in our home, partly because water already comes out cold and the fridge is large enough to store most beverages already. I do not know if this issue would happen in a household that uses ice frequently. Also, we did have to have the main circuit board replaced just over a year after owning the refrigerator - it failed and our freezer defrosted completely. Thankfully Samsung was good enough to replace the part without charge even though it was just out of warranty. However, I am not convinced I would buy this particular brand of refrigerator in the future.

This is a great refrigerator. The "chill" drawer is excellent for bottled water or other drinks. The drinks are cold in such a short amount of time! The ability to slide the shelves has been a tremendous benefit. We have had to re-configure our shelves many times, and it is so simple with this Refrigerator. The only negative we can state about this appliance is that the water from the door, even with a new filter, tastes pretty much the same as regular Tap water. The ice is fine, but the water just doesn't taste as crisp as other refrigerator filters we have had. The child lock feature on the door has been very useful! it's very easy to lock it so our toddler doesn't spray water all over the floor. The freezer is awesome, especially with the top sliding drawer! There is plenty of room for all of our freezer items. The movable dividers make it easy to customize the space to best suit your needs. Overall, we have been extremely pleased with this purchase!

This refrigerator broke about 1 month after we got it and we got it fixed for free but it kept on breaking. I believe we had gotten it fixed at least 4 times before we just got rid of it and bought a new one. It was either our fridge broke 4 times or the mechanic guy didn't fix it right any of the times they said they fixed it. They mechanics said they had to patch a pipe line and add more antifreeze. The warranty on the fridge I guess it only lasted 3 months because after that they said they would have to charge us to do repairs on it, that sounds very messed up. I do not recommend this fridge, or any Samsung fridges if you want to keep one for a long time. Samsung should just stick to electronics. Noise Level The noise level was great I barely ever heard it. The only time I heard it was when it was dispensing ice or when it was broke. Interior Organization I had a place for everything inside this fridge until it broke. Temperature Control Not alot of settings for the temperature. Durability The Durability was terrible as I said it broke the first month we had it.

extremely loud compressor . If you open the doors while compressor is running it builds up condensation under the drawer and it will freeze under the drawer so when you go to pull it out it comes off the track. shelves craze and crack easily and you can't remove any of the middle section for cleaning. freezer compartment is too small. not al all what I expected it to be for the price paid. Noise Level compressor is as loud as a car passing down the street. ice dumps loudly and will scare you to death if you are standing nearby. Interior Organization not easy to adjust... no place to put a gallon of tea. can't take any of the middle shelves out to clean- built in and if you pull you tear the insulation out and have to call a repairman. bottom drawer is completely useless because it freezes in place and you can't pull it out without it coming off of the track. Temperature Control this is the only thing easily controlled on this fridge. filters are expensive and last about 4 months. Ease of Cleaning cannot clean it without tearing it up. try to soak the side compartments and water gets trapped under the plastic and molds and mildews. Durability within 4 weeks the ice maker got stuck in the on position and flooded my home. Took 4 weeks for repairman to come replace ice maker and circuit board. Even the repairmen have told me that this fridge has major design problems that need to be addressed. Problem is, we spent so much money on this one that we can't replace it with another model. Design not designed for the south. humidity here is too high. no place to put gallon pitcher- shelves too close together.
